I’m thinking about getting a CPU cooler, but kind of having trouble deciding which one would be the best. Availability of products is a big issue in my country, so I’m forced to choose from the few models that are available here right now. I am going to list the options that I have at this moment, including the local market price. I’ll only list the products that are within my budget.
• Antec Kuhler H2O 620 (6500 BDT)
• Antec Kuhler Box (6500 BDT)
• Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer (7500 BDT)
• Cooler Master Hyper 212X (3000 BDT) **Out of stock**
• Cooler Master Hyper 412 Slim (4000 BDT)
• Cooler Master V8 GTS (7500 BDT)
My primary choice was Thermaltake Frio Advanced (5700 BDT). Sadly, though, it has run out of stock and I don't feel like waiting for an indefinite period of time for stocks to be refilled, unless all the other choices are absolute crap compared to its price/performance ratio.
Finding reviews and comparing these exact models with one another proved to be quite fruitless so far, mostly because the reviews used different testing methodologies (different CPU and clock speed, especially) and none had more than 3 of these compared in one single review (including TT Frio Advanced, which I’m considering to be the “standard”).
Personally, I’m leaning towards the Antec Kuhler H2O 620 but can’t be sure about how it’ll perform compared to TT Frio Advanced. Also, I’ve never used any All-in-One liquid cooler before, so kind of confused about their durability as well. I am open to suggestions, by the way.
I’m running the CPU at 3.6 GHz now, thanks to the crappy cooler I currently have. But I’m planning to push it to ~4/4.2 GHz if the new cooler can handle it.
I have also posted a poll here, feel free to cast your vote.
Edit: Updated product availability.
