I’m thinking about getting a CPU cooler, but kind of having trouble deciding which one would be the best. Availability of products is a big issue in my country, so I’m forced to choose from the few models that are available here right now. I am going to list the options that I have at this moment, including the local market price. I’ll only list the products that are within my budget.

Antec Kuhler H2O 620 (6500 BDT)
Antec Kuhler Box (6500 BDT)
Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer (7500 BDT)
Cooler Master Hyper 212X (3000 BDT) **Out of stock**
Cooler Master Hyper 412 Slim (4000 BDT)
Cooler Master V8 GTS (7500 BDT)

My primary choice was Thermaltake Frio Advanced (5700 BDT). Sadly, though, it has run out of stock and I don't feel like waiting for an indefinite period of time for stocks to be refilled, unless all the other choices are absolute crap compared to its price/performance ratio.

Finding reviews and comparing these exact models with one another proved to be quite fruitless so far, mostly because the reviews used different testing methodologies (different CPU and clock speed, especially) and none had more than 3 of these compared in one single review (including TT Frio Advanced, which I’m considering to be the “standard”).

Personally, I’m leaning towards the Antec Kuhler H2O 620 but can’t be sure about how it’ll perform compared to TT Frio Advanced. Also, I’ve never used any All-in-One liquid cooler before, so kind of confused about their durability as well. I am open to suggestions, by the way.

I’m running the CPU at 3.6 GHz now, thanks to the crappy cooler I currently have. But I’m planning to push it to ~4/4.2 GHz if the new cooler can handle it.

I have also posted a poll here, feel free to cast your vote.

Edit: Updated product availability.

I'm poor, hahah! But I also want to keep going with the current CPU for as long as I can, so the little extra juice is worth the investment.

I have a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer witch is pretty much the same as 2.0 cooling my FX 8350.. excellent cooling performance !

It has to be good. My question, though, was about which one among these is the best. TT Water 2.0 is also one of the most expensive ones in my list.

what is the maximum temperature you are seeing now?

~80-ish under Intel Burn Test load. As I said, the current cooler is crappy and 3.6 GHz is the absolute max I can go.

P.S. Could a moderator please edit the first option in the poll and add "620" at the end? I seem to have forgotten to add that and I can't edit it either.

I would say the Tt Water2.0 is likely the best choice. It is a newer head unit and pump than the 620, and will outperform all of those air coolers. The CM V8GTS would be my second choice.

The Thermaltake Frio Advanced is actually fairly poor performer. Frostytech review
The V8 is overpriced.
Can you get any of the CM TPC coolers?
Of the ones you have listed:
*Antec 620/TT Performer would perform the best
*CM 212X would be next on my list

I called the distributors and they cannot bring in TPC coolers, sadly. And I've got another bad news: CM Hyper 212X stock has run out as well.

So, that leaves me with two "popular" options: Antec 620 and TT Water 2.0 Performer. I want to get one before the stock runs out but still cannot make up my mind.

If you can get the TT Water 2.0 Pro, get it. The extra thickness of the radiator will perform better.
I have a H80i and it kept my 4.4GHz 2600K below 64 degrees while Folding or WCG'ing 24/7, but it was too noisy for my tastes and I replaced it with a Phanteks PH-TC14CS. (I'm old school, I like downward blowing CPU coolers) It now runs about 10 degrees warmer, 10db's quieter (I'm guessing), and that is with only 1 fan due to RAM clearance issues.

Thank you for your opinion.
Although buying from abroad is my last option, this refurbished one seems to have a lot of complaints in the customer reviews section. Thanks, btw.

Nope, the "pro" isn't available, I'm afraid.

Well, my option was the Performer only but thanks anyway for sharing your experience.

At this point, I'm actually having thoughts of extending my budget a bit. How are the Cooler Master Seidon 240M coolers? It is priced at 10000 BDT around here... worth it?

Usually the larger the cooling surface the better, however these larger 240 rad aio solution's tend to for the much more reckless overclocker. Basically unless you do a LARGE overclock you will see little to no differences as they experience heat soak at higher volts.

I'm running the i7 860 at 3.6 GHz with only 1.175v, which appears to be a sweet spot for my CPU. Even 3.7 GHz needs 1.22v to be stable under IBT load. So, you see, it's gonna be running pretty hot once I cross the 4 GHz mark.

Update: I ended up getting a CM Seidon 240M last week. It keeps my CPU ~25-30°C cooler under full IBT load compared to the old crappy CPU cooler. I'm currently running the i7 860 at 4.11 GHz with a vcore of 1.3625v (it's not stable above this mark unless I feed it dangerously high volts). The fans, at full speed, are very noisy, though. So I used Gigabyte's Easy Tune6 to create a custom fan profile that keeps the fans of Seidon 240M silent even under full load. So far, I'm satisfied with the results.

212 EVO is my recommendation keeps my 3770k @ 4.4 around 70c under normal gaming/converting situations. I stopped running IBT and all that crazy stuff I use Wprime & Multicore Super Pi to test my overclocks. As long as all 8 threads are 100% and it don't crash or blue screen I'm happy.
