while respecting fully hilyx ssrg opinion, i would say the 270x. i still don't buy any of their ....... about the new directx! however you can wait for the event discussing the new directx and get a better view of the things!

I like Evga for their quality components and warranty. But bc you have no warranty attached - go with the sapphire card.

I assume you will OC the card ;)

50% ?!?!?!?! What are you doing to your cards? Since the days of ATi Rage and 3dFx Voodoo up until this current gen I have only had 1 card fail, and that's only because an aftermarket RAM heatsink fell off my top HD 6870 onto the bottom and shorted something.

Anyway, even though EVGA does bot have a local warranty exchange, from my personal experience that is not an issue. EVGA has FANTASTIC customer service and their RMA turnaround is fast. Ok, you will have to pay $20 shipping and wait 1-2 weeks (yes, they were that fast) but that's only if the card fails. Under normal GPU usage the EVGA will be a much better choice than Sapphire; Not because of nVidia vs AMD, it's because EVGA uses solid components, as well Sapphire sucks balls when it comes to their customer service. Check with your local dealer and see if it's a straight swap, otherwise, because of Sapphire's anal RMA requirements, the card may be sitting in the store's RMA shelf until Sapphire gives the thumbs up. Again, this is from my own personal experience.

well evga is not offically present in my country neither sapphire so i have to rely on retailers so if i have international warranty its of no use to me as it will cost a lot and as local warranty its quick regardless of brand as they instantly replace as per sapphire i dont have to go to sapphire i will return gpu to retailer ad their policy is to give new gpu or if not available gave another item of same type like they did in my case didnt have gigabyte soo they gave me sapphire so only local warranty is useful for me and i never buy gpu in used or without warranty ever so thats the reason i asked

50% since 2011.
My gtx 590 had badly setup over temperature protection and shut down at 79C°. My first R9 290 had had an existential crysis and wouldn't do anything. Thankfully the retailer I buy gpus from offers a 2 month instant replacement policy for a small fee so if I have a card quit on me I can get a new one the same day.

Yeah here in cz it's required by law to offer a 14day guaranteed return policy but one of the e-retailers is focused entirely on making rmas super fast. For example when the jack on my headset broke 3 months after purchase I went to the hq and when I left 1 hour later I had a new headset. The only disadvantage is that they are one of the most expensive e-retailers around.
But really keep the 270x it's a little slower but if the 760 dies you won't have a card at all.

R9 270x is still a very fast card and if its like my 7850, probably overclocks a ton to make up any difference too.

You are in a dilemma because you know the 760 is bit faster but to be honest this is simple always go for the card that has warranty.

Well there has to be someone who gets the bad cards. GTX 590 had a faulty over heat protection and my first R9 290 didn't do anything at all no image no fans no recognition by BIOS nothing. The GTX 590 failed a couple months after purchase and the R9 290 stopped working a day after I installed it.

any doubt?
Nope, Glad you like it! Too many AMD basher's out there. Both sides make great cards, except now, it more simultaneous.

I believe the cards that have come out in the last 3-4 months, R6,R7, 750, 750Ti, 760, 265...

None of them will disappoint. Both have decent Driver support, it's now more about Loyalty than bad products, well, and price! LOL.

I knew you would be happy, and I am glad you described it as you did. :toast:
