it just.. seemed so weird to me, I thought the new generation would be considered 5th gen, but it would appear I have been mistaken.

its not a new generation. its a refresh of the old ones - different clock speeds, different prices, same hardware.

One would think that they would update their "latest BIOS" list before making a press release. I'm already on version P2.30 for a Z87 Extreme6 yet that list shows P2.20 as the latest version. Unless of course that is the list of the first BIOS versions to include support for those processors, in which case the data would be correct.
