Seriously, you should upgrade it to at least a 4770K. You'll get double the fps.
I thought the same with my old Core 2 Quad 9650, and after upgrading it to a 3770K, in almost all games I've got double fps.
Trust me. In your case is worth the update.

i am sure i could easily get double performance but i don't need it. plus when i do upgrade it will be to something brand new.
