You've answered your own question really, yes of course the 600 series will benefit too and no doubt Maxwell as well, it just makes sense they reference their current series.

Make sure your WMI service is working properly or the Drivers won't install well. I had to repair mine so all is well now.

I see BF4 is not on the list.

Not even new drivers can help that game.

Surprised more people aren't talking about this here. This driver change my gaming life. Sleeping dogs for example runs at 50-60 frames all the time with my setup at 1600x900 almost max settings, no extreme aa. Before it would struggle and get 25-40fps. all my games have no more stuttering and run about 20-35% faster.

Yes. 1600x900 everything max, but aa is on normal and ambient occlusion on normal. It runs between 50-60, drops down to 46 when driving. Recording at 35-40.
Before the drivers , it will drop down to 18-25-40 with stuttering and just weird choppyness. Runs perfect now :)
I tested other games too, for example, NFS hot pursuit 2 is a cpu bound game, before it always ran like crap 25-40 at any resolution, i thought it was my CPU, but now it runs at 55-60 all the time at 1920x1080 or 1600x900.
So these drivers are really amazing. Whatever they did, fix all my issues.

Well speaking of BF, i have BF3, no more stuttering, its all gone. 1600x900 almost max , i have SSAO and AA2. Doesn't stutter anymore. I have notice though, BF3 and Crysis 2 seem to be capped at 30fps all the time. They run smooth without any stuttering at 30fps, but doesn't seem to go any higher than that for some reason.

yep I tried sleeping dogs on my GTX460 and got a boost of nearly 20fps, very surprising, really did not expect that.

I have seen some decent gains on my laptop (i7 4700MQ @ 3.2Ghz / GTX780M @ 941/5500):

As predicted the biggest gains come where there is a CPU bottleneck - or where there the GPU was not at 99% load.

The figrues only tell part of the story. Seat of the pants wise BF3 (and by extension BF4) & Crysis both felt alot smoother.

I am tempted to pick up a GTX770 to see what sort of gains I can see on my wife's pc (Athlon 760K based).

I do agree with smooth gameplay. I've put my 780 back in my main rig and I have to say much smoother than the 280x crossfire setup.

BUT since installing these drivers, I have had to reduce my overclock for it to remain stable as it continually crashed upon starting games if I left it on my previous OC settings with the new driver.

I had to reduce my OC as well in order to remain stable with the new driver. My GTX Titan now scores a whole 1500 points lower in 3dMark11 P test. But anyway I don't care, its fast enough for games...

Hey man.. Been waiting for the latest 337 driver by nvidia..have read a lot of articles and they are positive and negative but really inconclusive.. I think that it must improve my bf3 mp performance greatly as it requires CPU horsepower and I lack in that area...the driver kind of improves CPU overhead..am I right? Would I receive big increase as it fixes specifically what I was worried about when I assembled my build..right now I play at medium...surprisingly aa doesn't have as big of a increase as I expected..I get 60 constant but drops to 50-45 rarely during heavy gunfights..texture at ultra 8x af..I'M WAITING FOR THE WHQL DRIVER AS THERE ARE MAN HOTFIXES BEING FLOATED AROUND...

Honestly the i3 performs pretty well in games, especially considering what it is. It even beats out some of the lower end AMD bulldozer chips. I'd give the driver a go man, worth a try :) I'm keeping with it as my games seem to play smoother and seem more responsive.

I am just waiting for the whql 337.5 driver..I have never before used a beta drivers as it may have issues and artifacts..I know that it is basically an i7 is 80% of campaigns of fps, action-adventure and anything else other than strategy..My question was (just for fun really..evenn if the answer is no, still gonna get the driver) most people (or organizations including nvidia) says that it is effectively reduced cpu bottleneck by optimizing cpu overhead..here a dual core i3 (with HT 4 virtual) should be a bottleneck in the bf3 mp..So I should get fps improvement..(just asking):p

Best thing to do is give the drivers a try.

If they improve things then great keep them. If not install the older drivers using the advanced - clean method.

WHQL, unless issues were found in the beta, 90% of the time the WHQL is identical to the beta version.

I find it hard to believe that Rome2 is a 64% improvement. Since it already runs (for me at least) very smoothly and at decent framerates, 71% would mean my soldiers in battle would be moving as if I put it onFast Forward speed? Seriously, I don't doubt there is improvement in all these games, but it just seems to me to be highly exaggerated claims by Nvidia.

Why? They do say "up to" and of course mileage will vary depending on your CPU/GPU combo along with numerous other variables that could come into play when testing improvements.

71% was for SLI'ed results and Anandtech saw a 76% improvement for example.

I've personally found the drivers to be very good and noticed improvements across a lot of games.

Really nothing to complain about.

Yes, I agree, and I don't mean to sound as if I was complaining. I just feel there has to be a little bit of exaggeration. Have you ever gone back and looked at each driver version, and their improvement claims? Alot of games keep getting listed with improvement upon improvement. Start adding them up, and you'll see what I'm getting at.

Guess I'm just a slightly cynical type. :)
