Bringing more choice to smartphone owners considering premium, mobile stereo headsets, LG Electronics - the makers of the acclaimed LG G2 smartphone, LG G Pad 8.3 LTE tablet and innovative curved LG G Flex - is shipping LG TONE PRO to retailers and mobile network providers nationwide.

"The premium headset market is defined by fashion as much as it is by sound quality," said Bruce Tripido, director of accessories, LG MobileComm USA. "That is exactly what consumers find in the LG TONE PRO, a well-designed headset that threads together style, comfort and quality."

LG owns more than half of the rapidly growing, in-ear Bluetooth stereo headset market. As more smartphone users look for accessories that are functional across multiple devices, in-ear Bluetooth headsets are at the forefront of consumer demand. According to Strategy Analytics, more than 7 million stereo headsets are expected to ship in 2017, double the units shipped in 2013.

Award-Winning 3D NeckBehind Style and Comfort
The LG TONE accessory lineup - that also includes TONE, TONE+ and the premium TONE ULTRA, the latter boasting JBL Signature Sound and Ambient Noise Cancellation for an MSRP of $129.99 - is recognized for ergonomic style and comfort, having earned three prominent global design awards and recognition from influential industry body, RedDot.

LG's all-new TONE PRO headset features this award-winning, ergonomic around-the-neck wearing style that provides a comfortable, fashion-forward fit. Pairing LG TONE PRO with any Bluetooth-enabled device makes it the ultimate hands-free audio solution, and with Advanced Multipoint users can pair the headset with two devices simultaneously. LG TONE PRO is lightweight, boasts extended talk and music play times, and includes new features for audiophiles such as HD voice and enhanced bass response.

Pricing and Availability
The LG TONE PRO is now available in stores and online at Verizon Wireless and Best Buy, and is coming soon to Amazon, Radio Shack, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. The LG TONE PRO is available in white, black, red (Verizon only) and blue (Best Buy only), retailing for an MSRP of $69.99.

I have the original Tone, and it is a damn fine headset. The battery lasts a week easily, and I can use it all over the house without any drops in conexion. But it does not have apt-x profile, so music quality is not superb.

I am disappointed to know that the new one does not have apt-x either, or at least it is not mentioned at all.
