Gamersgate has BF4: Premium for about $25 if anyone is interested.

I myself won't be buying Premium even at discount with the original game still in a unfinished state. But others may want to jump on the good deal!

I've played this on PC (rather than PS4) a bit recently just to see what it's like with the 280x crossfire. I found it a bit stuttery at first but with 14.4 catalyst it works great - so smooth. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with the game on my end which is good. I've lost my touch quite a bit though after playing BF4 so much on PS4 haha.

Picked up premium from that sale but they are out of keys. Hopefully I will get mine soon as they are getting more. I shouldn't have to worry right?

So after that little clip earlier and playing this evening with the AEK, I've got to ask why everyone is not using it?! Didn't start using it until I recorded that video.

Sounds like the game is being recorded on you microphone and its picking up your speakers. There should be some audio settings in afterburner to let you adjust which channel. Not sure if you can have two channels at the same time. I use Dxtory and use 2 separate channels. One for game/skype audio the other for my headset mic. and adjust levels independently.

That's what I thought too when I was messing around with it earlier, but I had my mic turned off so I'm not sure. I'd use Dxtory or similar, but they added a recording buffer to Afterburner and it seems decent.

Wow I just came to a reality I wasn't really expecting. For the money I sink into computers for gaming I really don't enjoy it much anymore.
It may have to do with my reflexes slowing down or hey maybe because I'm 55 fucking years old. Anyway even messing with PC's anymore isn't fun.
Gonna get back into building my Car and Jeep and let PC's go. I will drop in just to check on the Friends I have built over the years, but my gaming
days are really numbered.

Could just get a console if you want to play games. Cheaper and a lot easier to deal with.

I was able to play for a while last night without getting the RSOD. All I changed was my DRAM voltage from default 1.500v to 1.510v, I guess my 2133MHz mems need a slight bump. Yet no other games crashed but Bugfield 4.

Not many other games tax a system as much. BF3 was a very good system stability test, as well. I think this is one of the few times you shouldn't blame the game.

I still blame the game as it ran for months without any crashing or freezing, for some reason the RSOD happend after the recent server upadate. Who knows but my intelburn test taxes my system more than BF4 does. Still BF4 is far from being a solid, stable, bug free game for most.

Still waiting on my key from the gamersgate sale. I will give it until evening and then get my refund. Safe to say they over extended themselves?

Yes they probably did; $25 is the best sale since Black Friday iirc. The site is definitely generally legit; I got my premium key from a $40 sale there right away a month ago.

Sounds like a plan…though I don't suppose your effed up spine has anything to do with that Mustang? :)

Probably won't, the last time it was discounted heavily was Black Friday 2013. Maybe during the Steam Summer Sale?

Why would Steam have a sale for it? BF4 isnt even on Steam. Origin only.

Of course you can't get it on Steam, but last year EA/Origin ran a sale at the same time or slightly overlapping the annual Steam Summer Sale period. I believe Amazon did so as well and aggressively price adjusted to match Steam during that same period.

Was doing some looking at some GPU reviews. Seems that moving from a single 5870 to a 280x results in no less then a 2x fps increase. Now I'm just wondering if the extra money to move to a 290 is worth it over the 280x.

I'm thinking that the extra bandwidth of the 290 will do better when it comes to gaming on all three screens.

Ive gone from a 5850x2 i crossfire to a Sapphire R9 290 Tri-x OC and all games feel just that a little smoother, mabye because it has 4GB ram on it, but in all new games its worth the money.

Well thats only how I experience it

The bandwidth would help but the fps gain would be only 20-30% coming from the 280x. You could always wait it out till eoy and see if Amd will ship something newer?

I dont mean to be an asshole and shit on your opinion, but i had 4870s, 5850s and 6970s in crossfire and even though they worked well when they were working properly, AMDs drivers caused me nothing but headaches and im not even talking about the whole frame pacing thing - I dont care about the whole 'runt frames' thing because I already stopped using AMD cards long before that so it doesnt bother me, But while i was using 6970s, they cause ghosting and BSODs and some CTDs with some games that i played.

my 6970s always seemed to work nice one moment then get shitty performance and crash my PC after a new driver update and I just got sick of dealing with it.

So i happy that you have such power to enjoy your games but I wouldnt be so positive with the whole experience because once AMD start breaking their drivers then you will be in the same boat that i was.
