you don't need 720 watts, your system would be fine with a good 550-600 watt PSU.

as for those two power supplies, they are both good. I would probably go with the Corsair because of it being full modular over semi-modular.

You don't need 720W, you could run that system on 550. In either case, my vote goes with the RM from Corsair.

As others have said you don't need 720W. If you have to have one with that wattage, I'd definitely choose the Corsair RM. RM750 would be fine too.

EDIT: if you want two graphics cards then the RM850 would be tasty.

Also I love the Citroen Survolt in your avatar pic :D

Then go for a good quality 750-800w, the 760i is a good choice for such a purpose.

AX760i is another great PSU. Anyone of those PSU I would not have a issue with using. If you definitely plan to go SLI in the future, get the RM850.

That Corsair VS650 is the lowest I would recommend. Don't get a Cooler Master PSU. Cooler Master makes great cases and heatsinks, but their PSU's are sub-par

If you think you may SLI 2X GTX 780Ti at some point in the future then I would go with the Corsair RM850. As you can see in my specs I chose the HX750 which is a lot more than I need but I wanted to leave the potential to SLI my GTX 680 in the future. Even then 750 watts is more than I really needed but I wanted it.

Hello,

The RM850 is designed to only turn on its fan under medium to higher power loads, so don't worry that your fan isn't spinning. I would also say that the hot feeling on the metal casing of the power supply or your case isn't necessarily a bad thing - what your feeling is the heat dissipating (or escaping) from the power supply into the surrounding air. The Apple Mac product line use this method to get rid of the heat from their units that are made up of aluminium, so similarly the heat from the power supply is being moved away and into the air.

I wouldn't be worried, but I'm sure other TPU members can suggest warning signs to look out for on a failing power supply. But the Corsair RM series is very reliable.
