Microsoft Readies Eight Patches For Next Week

May's Patch Tuesday is coming up and Microsoft is ready for it with eight new updates, two of which are rated 'Critical' while the rest are rated 'Important'. The patches will address vulnerabilities found in Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, RT, Server 2003, Server 2008 and Server 2012), Office (2007, 2010, 2013), .NET Framework and Internet Explorer.

This'll be the first Patch Tuesday that doesn't include Windows XP, correct? It's about time this day has finally come.

Microsucks O/S's are a disgrace when it comes to security and defects. They should be held accountable for defrauding consumers for the past 25+ years with defective O/S's.

Most of the software used runs on it, and the "exploits" are mostly caused by compatibility access, or additional software and the interaction it uses. I will point out things like print drivers and spooling, since the revolution of cheaper printers without their own RAM the OS by customer choice in buying the cheap printers has forced us to allow a spooler service and poorly written printer drivers to be able to read and write to system ram. Who's fault is it when a security issue results? Customers for buying the printers, manufacturers for having poor drivers and no concept of security, MS for allowing the consumer to use the printer?

MS is the largest market share and continues to have the most compatibility, its the obvious choice for unethical people to try and exploit, it also runs on PC's at financial institutions all over the world, and while not allowed access to their mainframe keyloggers, droppers, and many other ways to spy and read data exist due to the mere effect of it being popular.
