kwchang007,
This X2900XTX is the OEM version, it will never be available for consumers, it's only for corporate system builders like Dell and the likes.

OEM card has the same circuit board as the retail card, only difference between the two is the OEM has a bigger cooler. Retail board has a much smaller heatsink-fan - it just barely overlaps the circuit board.

Retail card with HSF installed should be smaller than 9" which means it's smaller than current high end ATi cards like X1950XTX.

oh ok i see. im surprised at the 8800's size than....that and the fact they can fit next gen power onto a board the same size.

That is not true - the PCB of the OEM cards is different compared to the retail cards. Actually the OEM PCB is a tad longer than the retail one.
Look at the position of the 6 and 8 pin power connector.

That (the 2 latter pics) would be the non-production prototype PCB. It was put back on the drawingboard, and they managed to squeeze it in.

The pics in the 1st post are of the final PCB.

This is the one hitting the retail stores soon. So I wouldn't call it 'non-production protoype PCB'.

damn it! They get the super "dragon head" turbocharged monster!

So its less than 9 inches right? Now that is something that makes me happy :D Its also .65 inches shorter so yeaaah i want one now. The stock cooler looks pretty cool if that version at the top is real (looks real). And that backplate looks hectic. Digital VRM ftw! (If they used capacitors like they did on the 7950GTs... the card would be like 80cm long or some thign.
