StarTech.com, a leading manufacturer of hard-to-find connectivity parts, has announced the availability of a DisplayPort MST Hub (SKU: MSTDP123DP), as well as a Mini DisplayPort MST Hub (SKU: MSTMDP123DP). The new hubs make it easy for users to multiply their screen area by connecting multiple monitors or projectors to their DisplayPort 1.2 or Mini DisplayPort 1.2 laptop, desktop, or Ultrabook computer through a single video port.
The MST hubs are compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 and Mini DisplayPort 1.2 video cards, including AMD Eyefinity's latest software that allows you to group monitors and arrange them for many different applications i.e. independent displays, and horizontal or vertical video walls for gaming. Additionally, When used with a multi-head video card, the hubs utilize the Multi Stream Transport (MST) capability offered by DisplayPort 1.2, to turn each video output into three distinct ports and offer an added level of scalability.
