IDK, to get rid of the stock that's left? It's a a great SSD, but the MX-100 has beaten it in every way and is on average $10 cheaper. But, at that price, the M500, because it's decent, is the best deal going! It's only a few hours though.

it said out of stock and a couple hours later i came back after it expired and it was in stock and i got it for that price. hurry and try to get it.

Waffling back and forth on this. There are other drives out there that have better performance for roughly the same price (before sale), namely the Crucial MX100 that replaced it.
I guess that's why the M500 is on sale and the MX100 isn't though.

The SanDisk Ultra II is ~10-20% "better" and only 11% more. I am so confused.

It's not a super sale, but it is a 256GB class SSD made by Crucial for under $100. Should be a better drive than the likes of the V300/Optima's out there. This might be a Black Friday item?
