So I'm thinking of upgrading to Win8.1. The Tool that checks if your system can be upgraded said it was ok, but what I'm concerned about is my HDD partitions.
I have a 500GB HDD divided into 250gb partitions. One partition holds my OS and documents while another holds my app files and other stuff. In the past 2 years I've reinstalled win7 twice and all I do is I could just "delete" the contents of my first partition and do a fresh reinstall without harming my other partition.
I was wondering if this could also be done in the upgrade, that I could just "delete" my C drive (first partition) and still keep my D drive (2nd) and it would still work with win8.1, like it wouldn't destroy or corrupt my files.
I don't have any means of backup ATM for my D drive, so I hope this works.
I know it may sound like a simple question but any help would be great
thanks in advance!
