Hey guys,

Yesterday i installed as main Storage Samsung 840 EVO 120GB. Putted on it World of Warcraft OS and KIS2015.

I followed the instructions of turn off the page file and change from IDE to AHCI.

So after that i ran WoW to check if will Load Screen faster.

But actually was much more slower than the mechanical one.

And the WoW was running about 10fps.

I have no idea why.

Some people said: SSD doesnt have anything about with the VGA.

Why low fps so?

I ran the DXDIAG and to my surprise it says i have about 5gig on VGA. What?!?!? My MSI R5770 Hawk only has 1024MB. Not 4850 MB.

What just happened? I already unistalled the VGA driver and installed again. Keeps the same.

This posabovet isnt going to do anything for you. Its best to leave the ssd alone when you install a fresh os on it, dont touch the paging file (no need to in w7-10). Also if you had a hdd plugged in as a second drive during windows install it has a tendency of putting boot files on secondary drive.

Ahci should be enabled before any os is installed

Friend, use [*code] tags when putting that much information in... holy crap (reported the post so the mods will hopefully do it).

As eider said, leave the page file alone. Put a fixed size on it is the only change I would make (make it 2048 or 4096MB is my suggestion).

Typically an SSD has nothing to do with your VGA, true. However, if you are playing an MMO, like WoW, and it loads from your HDD, it can cause significant hitching.

Don't turn the pagefile off, but put it on a HDD and let Windows manage it.
As others said, it's better to have AHCI enabled before you format. There is a way to make it work anyway by changing some registry keys, but the best way is still to just format with AHCI enabled.

It says 4850MB because it did math, 1010MB (VRAM) + 3840MB (Shared Memory) = 4850MB. Your card really has 1GB of ram, it is normal and fine.

Some programs need a page file to run correctly due to the way they were programmed, turn it back on but make sure it's size is not too large.

I may sound like an asshole on this but tbh you screwed big time.

No way in hell would i believe that 5770 and an i7-860 would run World of warcraft at 10 frames or less, that's not possible. I've checked a review of your gpu and it can even run crysis at a decent fps.
Here's the thing - WoW can be ran even on toasters, it even ran well back when i had something like Pentium 4 single core at 3.0 ghz, 512 ram and a 8600 gt with 256 mb memory.

Simple advice - get someone who knows what the hell he's doing, because clearly, you, do not.

I formated the SSD this time with AHCI enabled. Now the system is much more faster. By default my gpu is 850Mhz Clock and 1200Mhz other stuff. I installed the MSI afterburner and it says everytime i minimize WoW i the 850 goes to 300Mhz and the 1200Mhz goes to 400Mhz. It seems to me a "sleep mode" when the game is minimized. What i realize i had to remove the GPU in order to set the sata cables. Is there any possibility of this screw up the GPU? When i said that the 4850MB of GPU this info wasn't there before i installed the ssd. I believe somehow after doing this process of removing the gpu or power cord and put back again, may screwed stuffs. Is that possible?

Just to be clear, before installed the ssd, with graphic on recommended (good) the game was about 50-60fps, 4x Anisot and everything else on good.

Don't turn the pagefile off, but put it on a HDD and let Windows manage it.

After formated i didn't change this one. It remains original (Automatically)

I know. I think that happened after i remove gpu and put it back.

Oh thanks, didn't know that. My memory last week was 2x2gb, now is 2x4gb.

Weak CPU and weak GPU on CPU limited game = poor FPS.

That happened after removing the gpu and put it back. Should i try again?

The performance looks like the games are running onboard. But the VGA are pluged on the gpu. That's why i thought weird the shared memory.

Nope. I can only check that 5 hours from now. If that wasn't the problem what else could be? ( I don't want to be without alternative after doing you advise)

This here should "force" Windows to only use ur AMD card, if it don't there is something else wrong.

i never used Intel onboard graphics on a desktop pc at home before i got my small test box, so i always disabled onboard, when using a graphic card in my pc's like with my gaming rig have a GTX 970 and i disabled onboard.

Nothing new after rereading. Already answered all. I'll install GPU-Z again and after have the results. I'll post here.

It's not as CPU limited anymore. WoD put a lot of the load on the GPU.

I know. I think that happened after i remove gpu and put it back.

Oh thanks, didn't know that. My memory last week was 2x2gb, now is 2x4gb.

That happened after removing the gpu and put it back. Should i try again?

The performance looks like the games are running onboard. But the VGA are pluged on the gpu. That's why i thought weird the shared memory.

Friend, use [*code] tags when putting that much information in... holy crap (reported the post so the mods will hopefully do it).

As eider said, leave the page file alone. Put a fixed size on it is the only change I would make (make it 2048 or 4096MB is my suggestion).

My bad! :(

Seriously... use the EDIT button instead of quadruple + posting man... my god.

My bad! :(

It's not as CPU limited anymore. WoD put a lot of the load on the GPU.

Simple advice - get someone who knows what the hell he's doing, because clearly, you, do not.

have u tried display onboard gfx in your bios and then see if WoW will use your AMD card?

Run GPUZ

the HD 5770 has 3 different power modes and will throtle up and down as required.

REREAD what has already been posted.

Use radeon pro to max certain cards clocks so they dont drop speed while gaming

Ok. I got the gpu off, remove all cables and put back again.

Problem solved (-.- )

No idea why.

Everything fine now. Thanks for all the help.

Perhaps you had a bad connection on the PCI-E connector so not all lanes were connected? Seems unlikely, but I can't think of anything else. Glad it's working. :)
