Func is excited to announce a new version of the F-Series 10. The F-Series was introduced to the market for the first time back in 2005 and was meant to be an economical alternative to the more high-end product from Func, the Surface 1030. The new Func F-Series 10², is like earlier versions is a single-sided, low profile, semi-rigid mouse pad constructed of high quality polycarbonate but is now available in 3 sizes. In addition to a wider range of sizes, the MSRP of the new F-Series 10² is significantly lower compared to earlier versions.

Better adhesive used between top and base layers would be appreciated too. Really liked my Func, but since I mouse like a boss the layers started separating after a year or so. Eventually just peeled off the base layer and laid the sticky top layer right on my desk. Used it until I started wearing through it and the low spots were noticeable.

But since it's cheaper I might get one of these new 10². My old one was really easy to clean and the surface quality was very good, also liked the large size of it.

I am flabergasted...like honestly. How can you separate the rubber base from the top with just "mousing" for one year? I've had a cheap cloth pad from A4Tech and the only thing that resulted in separation, was when my mom didn't know it wasn't machine washable and had thrown it into the laundry. Even then, after a full laundry program, only about 1/3 of the pad had separated....she still uses it. I am running a SteelSeries QCK and after flooding it with pineapple juice, manually washing it, I am still using it right of this moment with no visible dmg. Anyway, I am just curious, not judging. It makes me wonder how people run their mice.

What started happening is that the top was sliding off, exposing the bottom layer.

I kept cutting away the exposed base pad until the lack of it was a problem. That's when I peeled the remaining base layer off and stuck it directly to my desk. That actually worked very well until I wore through it :D

I'm on a Corsair cloth mat now and it's doing well after a year of use, aside from the edges starting to fray. The bigger issue I have it with and why I might try another Func is because the cloth holds so much of my dead skin cells, rubbed off during gameplay.
