Creative Assembly released a video about Total War’s 15 year. But there is something interesting on the Facebook announcement. Is this about Total War: Medieval 3?

What you think? Also end of the video, I heard a dragon (or something like that) roar. lol

Note: I know that it looks like Total War game logo, but maybe this is the hint. :)

Then you need to play Attila. It is one of the most bug-free and great playing launches I can remember in quite awhile!

As for Rome II, in it's fully patched form, it is now a pleasure to play. :D

Yes. Attila's gameplay is very good. Also the game ratings are very high than expected. But it's need still DLC like, Blood and Gore. :)

Rome 2 is alot better now and with mods it has been greatly improved further still DeI fixed the passive AI made it much more of a challenge but without using cheats and cheap work arounds. Atilla still needs work, Most factions attack and raze cities rather than capturing them so 50 years go by and half the map is a wasteland. Still other than that Diplomacy works well now and things make sense. Poltics and Family tree work well but would have been nice to see that in Rome 2.

Of course, many games needs work. But I think, the AI's moves are true. Because in the history, they are going everywhere. For example, Visigoths are starting at Greece, and they are passing the Illyria to go to Venetia. They sacked here and after that they heading to direction to Rome for sack this city. When they are sacked Rome, their direction will be South France, and then to the East Spain. They settle these Spanish places. This emigration takes many years. These are barbarian factions my friend, they have to sacked anywhere to supply for their settle end of the road. :)

Thats fine,

What I mean is say the Caledonians and picts will RAZE all of britian you will there armies near Thrace / Asia / Macedon territories but wont take a province. ALL barbarian factions tend to roam around and never take anything. Its rather boring when End game most factions are 4-5 regions and I am sitting at 20-30 and i am allied with most of them They just never become a challenge. Only the Huns are a challenge and even then only on the field if they do seige you they get wiped out easily. Not saying its a bad game its actually really good just alot of mechanics need serious tweaks. In all honesty id rather pay $50 for them to back port the Family Tree / Potlical system to Rome 2. Would have made for a far better game.

SImple fact is I have played probably close to 400 hours in Rome 2 and 150 in Atilla,

The Migrating hordes is fine but heres the fact it took me 2 years in game with the Ostrogoths to go from Eastern Roman Empire to the tip of Spain where I took the entirety of Hispania, made alliances turtled and am now steam rolling. because none of the factions teched up or expanded. Were talking 40-50 in game years = 160-200 TURNS and there is still no challenge because the factions dont expand or build up.

At higher difficulties the factions just spam army stacks aka cheats because the AI is piss poor. Will have to wait for DeI to release a mod for Atilla to fix those issues but its gonna be awhile.

@crazyeyesreaper Have you tried Radious' mods? I first tried his stuff in Shogun 2 and used his mods extensively on Rome 2. Now with Attila, he seems to have hit on how to slow the complete loss of fertility that creeps over all of Europe by endgame, in addition to his usual stuff. He's my go to guy for TW mods now. I haven't had the time or desire to learn new modding techniques since RTW or Medeival 2.

Yes, I understand. Just trying to tell that not all faction raze places. But yes, Caldonians and Pics must take the Britain according to history. I agreed with rtwjunkie about Radious' mods. It's adding many features to your Rome 2 game. You can check the mod by clicking this link: TWCenter

To develop great games, developers needs users' feedback. They are reading serious feedbacks when you send to them. You can try to send you feedbacks about Total War games. :)

Bests,

People Act like I don't use mods its funny, Since I am the only person here with a fundamental understanding of the game engine and its bottlenecks among other issues. Ive used Radious mods, They help but AI is still currently brain dead, in battle etc they are fine, agent use is fine, but when it comes to expanding and choosing between loot / raze / occupy most factions will Loot then next time they hit said settlement they raze it.

Mods are great but right now most stuff is tiny tweaks, even with Fertility at 0 I still have positive food and maxed out settlements I didnt need said crutches. As for sending feed back I have already which that will take time especially for CA lol.

Well now, not the ONLY one. I've known about it's flaws and cpu bottlenecks for many years. :) And yes, I know you use mods, I just didn't know if you had touched on Radious or only stuck with and were awaiting DeI exclusively.

Touched on them all tested them all. DeI is a close second to Darth Mod but DeI has better compatiblity with other modifcations and units packs etc. Which means less time messing around making them play nice together.

In all honesty heres hoping that for Medieval 3 they have a new core engine aka DX12 so CPU side of things can be ironed out maybe then we can see some AI improvements.
