Right so me being me I have gone and gotten myself into alsorts of strife And need some advice. Iv found a second matching monitor on special locally and now of course when gaming in have a boarder right in the middle of my cross hairs etc. So third monitor time but I am also going to need some more gpu power. Now iv just got a deal in pencil atm for $800usd for 2x kingpin 780ti. Problem is by the time they get here its going to cost me $1700. And my 2x 780ti atm are only the superclOckd acx any advice? Sell my two cards and buy some 980? Or go for the quad 780ti? And risk the water cooling loops not to fit?

Youre basically wasting money at 4x SLI.

If you run sli plenty then you should know, although yes, you do get some more power, that SLI scaling is pretty atrocious. I dont think I'd ever go past SLI, but then again, I've never had a super great experience with it, and I'd prefer one flagship card.

As for 4k, the hardware to support it is not here yet, your gaming experience will most likely be sub-par and there isnt a terrible amount of video content for it. Just an industry ploy to get you to buy something new. I'll stick with 1440 or an ultra wide for now

more than 3 cards is completely waste for the increase in performance you get.
I don't think you should buy 1 more though , wait abit of time so cards can adapt to 4k , there will be more options with the new 300 series of AMD and maybe nvidia cuts the price down on 980 ? i don't know but still you shouldn't buy more 780ti now in my opinion.

The 4k resolution is actually allot better than the usual resolution to the point i struggle to game on anything lesser than 4k. Its possible but i know the difference. Windows and chrome do some weird things to try and keep everything readable but im not going back now. :) especially since these monitors here can be picked up for $500 a pop :). All i want is mroe power to run em. Maybe i should sell up and buy some of the new refrence cards when theyre released

if i were you, i'd sell yours 780ti for sli gtx970(yeap, only + 0,5GB, but very good OC potential)
or go for CF r9 290x 8Gb(or even CF r9 295x2)
or(the best option cause we dont have realy good 4k monitors/TVs - we got overpriced 4k-compatible screens with high input lag and low color rendering/even scaling) just wait till autumn/beginning of 2016(i dont want to say the main reason is to save money, i just want to say that result could be not satisfying even with premium 4K panels)

PS for example, i'd prefer some 50 inches 1080p display with low input lag, sofa and wireless keyboard+mouse+xbox 360 controller(i dont have just that TV, cause sitting about 2 meters from display and it's perfect for non-online gaming(playing dota2 sometimes - it's ok))

Im rather tempted. Heres my monitor http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=21538 I quote 1 billion colors and 1ms respons time. (Worlds best in class) So maybe thats with other monitors? unsure but for $500 a pop i can have a pretty choice set up :) although i have sunk allot of money into running them.... mmm

Your PSU is inadequate for quad 780Ti. After 3 GPUs in SLI you don't gain much and you will probably run into issues with some games.

If I understand you correctly, you want to run triple 4K monitors with todays GPUs. If it were up to me I would stick with what you have on a single 4K monitor and when the gaming version of Big Maxwell or R9 390x drops then buy 3 of those and maybe you can try to run triple 4K monitors. It would be interesting to hear back from you if you do to let us know how it turned out.

I will, the two 780ti can run one at 4k monitor playing assassins creed black flag on ultra and not have any issues so there are a few things i can notch back to make them run on both. Atm games like wolfenstein new world order can run both monitors flawlessly 4k everything maxed. I do believe people under estimate these gpus haha. I havent touched the OC nore have i water cooled them
