Controversial for sure! However I liked how those detailed daily tech reviews I love here at TPU got modified for something different and clearly to be intended as a joke. Did I get fooled? No. Did I buy one of these? NO! Do I hate TPU now for doing something risque? No. Do I think they went a bit too far? Maybe, but there are far more controversial and adult-content posts/replies to be found around here. Looking forward to next year's 1st of April review.

Not long ago a certain Mayor removed all the sex shops from the Theatre District. There are pluses and minuses to this. One negative is that due to zoning regulations the good shops, as well as the bad ones...(which they hoped would fail), are forced to move to bad/unsafe neighborhoods. So where do good people have to go to get their items... bad/unsafe areas of town.

Since when is safe sex, via self love, a bad thing? The Victorians were repressed yet literature has many ways of disguising language to hide sexual meaning, music also.
Are we going to ban certain books? Where does that list start?

Does this belong in the workplace? Most likely not.

For a day it was alright. It should be moved to General Nonsense, where reviews could continue, as there is a need for serious reviews of this kind. (this review being partly in fun)

Since the vibrator is going to be appearing in the reviews section across the top of the site for the coming weeks (until it gets pushed back with a bunch of newer reviews) is there a way to hide it? I like to visit TPU at work and now I don't feel it is safe to do so when there is a large review of a vibarator front and center. Thanks.

The fact, and the actual law, is that items labeled as "massagers" can openly be displayed and sold to anyone. The assumed sexual nature is put there by the person, but that isn't the fault of the business displaying/selling the item. There have been several lawsuits that established this precedent. And it is why these items can be openly sold in any retail store and why Walmart carries them, Wal-Greens carries them, CVS carries them, Target carries them...etc...

Furthermore, simply displaying a single image for a brief period of time that a co-worker happens to see as they walk by your desk also doesn't qualify as sexual harassment. For it to be sexual harassment they'd have to prove that you intended them to see it, that you were purposely displaying the image for them to see, or that you displayed the image knowing they'd see it. If you set it as your screensave they'd have a case, but just a small thumbnail doesn't amount to sexual harassment.

Any I have to wonder why no one complains about the "Booth Babes" reviews...

I have to say, compared to a few years ago, the Mods are really generous now-a-days.
Was a time when a lot of these posts would garner the posters a few points.
