SilverStone announced the Kublai KL05 series case. The Kublai KL05 is a high quality ATX tower case designed for enthusiasts with the need for ample liquid cooling and storage space. It has convenient tool-less 5.25" drive bays and highly flexible cages designed to accommodate any combination of 2.5" or 3.5" drives. With a relatively tall and slender profile, it has surprising room for fitting liquid coolers.

Not only does it have complete support for 240mm and 280mm radiators on both the top and the front panel, it has numerous paths for tubing, mounting holes for fans, and easily removable filters for an exceptionally cool and clean build. KL05 is offered in two variations depending on front panel design so whether the preference is for a direct intake case with side window or a conservative, quiet build with indirect intake and sound-absorbing foam, there is a model perfectly suited for the intended task.

Special Features:
  • Interference-free design for mounting 240mm or 280mm radiator
  • Highly flexible storage accommodation of up to 8 or 11 drives*
  • Quick access filters for easy cleaning
  • Motherboard back plate opening for quick CPU cooler assembly
  • Mesh front panel intake maximizes airflow with side window for viewing system innards (KL05-W)
  • Front-side intake vents with foam padded side panels to minimize noise (KL05-Q)
  • All black painted interior for stylish look
*Requires purchase of additional drive cage
The recommended End User price (excl. VAT): KL05B-Q/ KL05B-W: US $69.97.

The KL05B-Q/KL05B-W will be available in our stock on the 16th of June.

For more information, visit the product page.

That's pretty good considering the price. I like how SilverStone provides some extra space on the top for radiators

You are correct. Either TPU is late to the party, or Silverstone had production problems, or they tweaked the design and are now re-releasing it. TPU, can we have some clarification please?

I got my current case when I saw a review on TPU; I then found it had been released for more than a year, no big deal but I guess in this case TPU is late.

Looks like there been more effort in to this one than some lately i have seen of theirs, not if it matters still not buying a case like that with the PSU at the bottom maybe if it had much more room down there but nope wont touch it.

SilverStone tends to put out the PRs/launch a product after it's already been released for some reason. The MM01 was listed for three months on their site before there were any PRs.

Maybe they're just behind in North America?

Benchmark Reviews posted their review of the Silverstone Kublai KL05B-Q on the 29th of March this year.
They look the same.

They better update their website because I did not find additional HDD cage anywhere.
