Do you think, this glitch can be caused by MB bios?
It appears not, given what you just tried. Still not convinced it's hardware related though, since other games work fine.

Yes, all of these - updated. Chipset driver latest installed.

I have latest official stable BIOS on my mobo at this time - v3.30.

There is albo BETA bios from 12.2014 - v3.25.

Do you think, this glitch can be caused by MB bios?

EDIT: Tried BETA Bios, but problem still occurs. Returning to stable 3.30 now.
perform an antivirus, malware check, then turn off your antivirus and graphics card overclocking utility for the duration of game test.
if it persists, it is still possible it could be ram related, so try to perform a memtest or something like relaxing the latencies in bios to 11-11-11-33 and the frequency to 667MHz (1333) and make sure voltage is 1.5V or trying a a whole different pair of ram..
if the above doesnt help, theres most likely a problem with the game installation itself.

As far as I can remember I had similar issue in FarCry 3 on 780Ti but after update drivers problem disappeared.
Is this occurs on all waters?

Good question... I don't know, because I am on beginning of the game.

I will try to play it some more to see if there is a problem on other water.

I'd try clean reinstall of Nvidia drivers (there is clean install option in the drivers setup) ... it should fix driver installation if it's borked for some reason (mismatched versions of DLLs that were left behind) and even reset custom driver settings per game (maybe there is something changed in the profile for FC4.exe that causes this)

I tried to reinstall the driver a few times, including older versions.. But this didn't solve my problem.

I think there is no issues witch your drivers. I think there are some glitches reflection on some waters and you shouldn't have to worry about it.
Like I said I remember similar glitch in FC3 and he disappeared after drivers update but maybe that was a coincidence and I just leave area with 'glitched' waters.

Imo the problem is in the game engine not with drivers etc or hardware.

@edit:
I remembered something. Some years ago I was 'playing' in Cry Engine 3(map with a lighthouse) and I tried to make a game in it. There was the same reflection bug. So now I'm 100% sure it's a engine bug. You can check it by your self by downloading free CryEngine from official website. I know that FC3 and 4 using Dunia Engine but it's based on CE.

Witam kolegę z Polski :)

I hope that game update/ driver update or something like this will solve this problem. Maybe this glitch is only at beginning of the game. Will check it out.

As I said, I will wait for some software update, hope it will fix my FC4 glitch.

I don't want to create a new thread, so I will ask here.

I'm playing Dying Light nowadays. Game is updated.

~80% of gameplay it runs at 60 FPS, some drops to 45-55 here and there. Ultra settings, 1080p, VSYNC ON.
This game have some bug - after start, FPS is capped at 30 - I have to ALT-TAB out, then ALT-TAB into the game again, and fps cap is gone. (Vsync bug) - pretty common, not only in DL.

Unfortunately, there is some problem with overall smoothness - if FPS drops down to ~45 (or when is capped at 30) game stutters like hell. Everything is slow, completely not smooth - there is a "night and day" difference between 30 FPS "smoothness" on XBOX ONE/PS4 and 30 FPS "smoothness" on PC.

How it looks on your PCs?

^I went into the game files and edited out all the filters that make the game look worse. Now Dying Light looks and plays much better.

Unfortunate that devs these days will use heavy filters like film grain, chromatic aberration, etc, without making them easy to disable in the menu.

Seems you have to be an entry level modder just to get adequate performance in some games these days.

Could you tell me, how looks performance in DL on your PC? I mean, when FPS is ~40. It feels choppy?

yes, it feels choppy. but its to be expected if you have VSYNC enabled and framerate is lower than the vertical refresh frequency of your monitor. unless you use gsync/freesync or disable vsync (but this way you get image tearing during gameplay, which one can get used to) :p

thats weird if you play on the pretty strong graphics card you have in your specs.. try using nvidia experience to automatically set optimal settings. i have no better advice :)

It's probably the game, Ubi loves to fix one thing and break another...

FC4 is plain buggy. Try different graphics settings. There's one combo that freezes my game at the menu every time.

I have to say, that I didn't create thread at "games" section, AFTER you replied here :).

In my first post in this topic, I wrote:
"I created similar thread in games section, but didn't get the answer, so will try here."

I mean, this hardware section seems to be more popular.

Today, while playing Dying Light, I saw some "flashing pixels" in one room in "Tower" - the Dawud's one (the man who needed the gun. Later he escaped from Tower with his son). I thought: "it seems to be artifacts". Those pixels are visible for split second. In addition, it's visible only in two rooms, and every time in exatcly same places, like doors. I didn't saw any flashing pixels in other locations.

So, it seems to be some kind of bugged location in this game?

What do you think?

Nobody will have concrete answers to these litwicki-style questions. I saw the water flash and the intelligence flicker and missing handrails in TF2 last night ... should I return my graphics card or memory or cpu? It's a useless question ...

anything that is consistently in the same place & only showing up on the one game or game engine is extremely likely that it's a game or driver or combination of settings bug, so i find it strange that some people are talking about bios updates or antivirus...

http://www.kn00tcn.net/cod5wateredges/ here's an old example of a driver bug or game engine issue that required a simple driver fix (since it didnt happen on nvidia)

in crysis 1, if you alt tabbed, sometimes you might end up with a ghost of the weapon or a ghost of other things on screen

another one in crysis is black smearing spots (motion blur on) in some trees when running in dx10, this might be a game issue affecting everyone

borderlands 1 had an AO issue not on nvidia that looks very similar, it's about the first unreal3 game to have AO & all later games including UDK itself do not have this problem

things you can do yourself are test multiple driver versions, multiple OS versions, multiple gpu architectures, finding out which option makes it appear or just trying different combinations of game settings, adjusting graphics control panel quality settings, disabling overlays, avoiding alt tab or trying windowed, etc

Thank you for the answer.

Do you have Dying Light installed? If yes, could you check the place in game (I would show you which place).
