Hi guys, i wanna ask whether my cpu imc was dead or got corrupted bios (or perhaps my motherboard has bricked already).

Early symptom of this problem is my pc often fail to boot and got random bios error and i had to press reset button and force to reboot. after weeks that my pc got freeze and bsod. Then last night after complete shutdown my pc got boot loop and then won't boot with qcode 55. i had already clear cmos, swapped ram, install only one ram, reseated ram but with still no luck.

If it is the CPU there is an Intel diagnostic test you can download and run.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool-64-bit-
First you would have to get the system running though.
Have you tried with one stick of Ram only, and tried all slots?

i have managed to boot the system with one stick ram at a2 slot, here is the result :

does this mean my cpu is ok?

after some investigation on each slot ram of 4 slot rams i tested i can draw final conclusion that a1 and b1 slot is dead while a2 and b2 is currently working well.

all of my memory still good and working flawlessly tested on my friend pc.

does this mean my motherboard is defective?

Your CPU is fine, so that can be ruled out for now as a possible cause.
As linked in my previous thread, check the CPU cooler was mounted correctly.

This is a simple suggestion have you try cleaning the ram slots? Sometimes ram not making good contact would cause errors. Oxidation on the slot contacts would prevent rams from getting a good "touch". Try get a small q-tips and soaked it with alchohol to clean the slot. Make sure the motherboard is not connected to power supply and the motherboard battery is taken out.

Test every DIMM individually. If there are no problems, try populating the first DIMM on the *second channel*. If you run into issues, move the DIMM to the second slot on the *first channel*. If it still doesn't work, it could be an issue with the contact between the CPU and motherboard.

Rule everything out though, so that means reverting to stock and testing each DIMM in A1 to ensure you don't have a bad DIMM.

I would be very surprised if you roasted the IMC unless you've been over-volting the heck out of it or the DRAM.

a1 | a2 | b1| b2

yes, i had already tested every dimms individually and successfully booting and logged in into windows when installed on third (b1) or fourth slot (b2) and turn out that first slot (a1)and second slot (a2) was dead (fig. @post before). Then i have tried all variations (a1 b1, a2 b2, etc) and the result is : if there any dimm present on first slot (a1) or second slot (a2) installed then the pc wont boot and got qcode 55. simply to say that the pc will boot if dimm present on third slot or fourth slot individually.

never overvolt ram and use xmp @1.65v

i will surely try to clean the ram slots tommorow morning. i left my pc at my office. i'm already at home now.

So there appear to be an issue with channel numero uno. Perhaps the water block is over-tightened? Have you tried reseating the CPU yet, maybe even visually inspecting the pins just to be safe? It's possible that there could be too much pressure on one side of the CPU causing some pins on the opposite end to make poor contact. I would remount it and try to tighten each bolt equally without going too gung-ho on any of them at any given time. It wouldn't be the first time this has occurred to someone, it's a down-side to LGA sockets.

Do not bother with cleaning the ram slot, unless your dripping liquid over it. While your re seating the CPU, look in the CPU socket you'll find bent CPU pins.

is there any solution in any case i found bent CPU pins?

update :

there's no single bent CPU pins. the CPU pins are fine.

I would remount it and try to tighten each bolt equally without going too gung-ho on any of them at any given time. It wouldn't be the first time this has occurred to someone, it's a down-side to LGA sockets.

Problem solved after rma-ing the motherboard. Actually after replaced the new one i still got 55 error on the same slot dimms but after reseating the CPU four times and tighten each bolt equally then voillaaa. it worked flawlessly.
I managed to mild oc my cpu to 4.2Ghz with offset - 0.010v and also undervolted XMP memory stable at 1.58v instead 1.65v.

Total Size 16384 MB
Type Dual Channel (128 bit) DDR3-SDRAM
Frequency 1066.5 MHz - Ratio 1:8
Timings 9-11-10-28 (tCAS-tRC-tRP-tRAS)
Slot #1 Module
G.Skill 4096 MB (DDR3-1600)
Slot #2 Module
G.Skill 4096 MB (DDR3-1600)
Slot #3 Module
G.Skill 4096 MB (DDR3-1600)
Slot #4 Module

Wasn't there an issue a few years ago regarding batches of Intel sockets that weren't properly attached to the motherboard or something? I remember reading about it, maybe on Anandtech?
