I can had an ESS audio drive or two in my days..
those things where okay when they worked
but you spent most of your time playing around with drivers...

Hopefully ESS still isnt crap.

Yeah remember them well (but not fondly) I put them in the same class as Yamaha DXG audio cards great when they worked miserable pain in the backside when they didn't
