Make an offer the q9650 is a great OC'er. 4.5GHz was what I ran it at until it retired (not with that radiator though) to HTPC then it ran at 3.6Ghz for a long time until finally retired and replaced by a 2700k. Still is a fairly capable machine and a great system as you mentioned to get that OC fun without breaking the bank. The IHS has been lapped down to the copper and really drops the temps!

Thought I would add this nostalgic bump.

Here is my 5870 oc'd on air. EK Waterblock coming on Tuesday. This was 100% fan and 1.2V for gpu. Will post again once I get my waterblock installed and dialed in. Please add me.

What kind of coolant was used in the radiator/tubing? That looks fairly nasty :\

Haha, well the tubing has all been removed and the blocks have all been cleaned with alcohol. Guess it would be in my interest to take new photos.

Anyway 90% of its life all those components ran distilled water, with a little white vinegar. The first part of their lives ran some green dye coolant (swiftech hydrox) and that is why some of the hoses look green.
