people who own an Xbox One can sign up for EA Access ($5) then cancel after. if graphics are all you care about then buy it. I think this game cost too much ($79 CDN + $69 CDN for the season pass or $159 CDN for ultimate edition) no sale is going to make this a good value proposition for me besides I don't like the idea of buying DLC to fix the game.

there is not enough game and they want me to spend more money on map packs. i'm not going to do it. not that it matters what I think because this game has no legs.

I was all set for this, but 12 hours of Campaign time is nothing when other games like Mad Max, Shadow of Mordor and The Witcher 3 all can easily go over 100 hours for normal AAA price.

it doesn't even have a single player campaign it's just a bunch of scenarios with bots. I think if this game had a single player campaign it would make people feel better about spending $60.

Aye, definitely waiting on a sale or a GotY edition with DLC's included. Looks fun and visually well done. It's nice to hear that the performance is up to par on PC(at release), Usually release week is an absolute nightmare for many gamers performance wise.

I played this a bit in beta and after a solid day of playing decided i would not buy it. It is the best looking SW game I have played and it does run great but content is lacking, and the maps I played were nothing special. Not worth the asking price for sure and I usually pounce on anything Star Wars.

Screw single player, I'm glad that they didn't waste time on a thread bare campaign and focused on getting the multiplayer right. For those of you who haven't played any of the previous versions of Battlefront, there was no bonafied single player campaign in those, either - just progressive levels with bots and a narrative to hold them together.

Just wanted to say, this game looks great, but sucks when it comes to what's most important... That of course is the entertainment factor. I have played both Battlefront games a lot! We are talking massive hours, this is can NOT be considered the same. My friend and I played yesterday on his ps4 for 10 hours! Or I should say tried.

This game is way to limiting, you can't even customize your matches, you can only choose 4 maps either you vs your friend as soldiers or hero's, and a survival mode. You can't even be on the same team unless survival mode! Can't go against large amounts of enemies, or change the amount of (tokens) to win the match. Tokens I can't stand you can go around killing, but you get no points for that unless you pick up the token dropped by the killed enemy.
Only 1 player can be online. If you are not connected to the internet then you can't even gain money when playing local splitscreen.

I know some of you don't understand why this is bad, but the point of Battlefront was to have your real live friends come over to your house and battle each other. In this game you barely can, they should have allowed the same game modes of online to be played local splitscreen with your buddies and vs AI to fill in the numbers. Sadly these companies are getting into the mind set that you don't have real life friends that can come over and play, they just want us to play online vs random people or force your friends to all by the same system and game and play at your house and only be able to talk via headsets.
If you have any questions about the game I can probably help as their is so little to it.

Just so you know why I'm so frustrated, my friend and me still play Battlefront 1and2 on my xbox every year for the last 11 years!

All they have to do is let local play have same modes as online, but with AI and add more maps (free), then I will be happy.
For now I will give it a honest 3 of 10.

I'm not even going to proof read this :)

I have this game on XB1. I wasted my money.

The amount of noob crutches in this game is unforgivable. The Smart Rocket is a great little battle pick up, and it works on enemy players, but to have another of the same type as a card with a 20 second cooldown is almost unforgivable.

Including a "card" that is literally an in game wallhack is completely unforgivable. Neat, now it's impossible to sneak up on people and play the game tactically.

Many of the maps are giant chokepoints. Great, I just love being murdered over and over again trying to get outside of a bunker.

The final weapon unlock, the DL-44 is grossly overpowered. It works great to upsell Deluxe Editions for an extra $10 which gives immediate access to the weapon. I've abused the wallhack and DL-44 to my disgust,

It looks great and plays well, but the above gripes are dealbreakers, I wasted my money.

Users are raking this game over the coals at Metacritic. It's got the same user rating as Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing which was a truly crappy game. Of course that doesn't mean much alone but I'm getting a bad impression of this game on all fronts.

The game is pretty though and it is Star Wars so maybe that will be enough to save it.

I don't have the game, but I love some of the bugs in this one: Rounds that dont end on Walker Assault, entire team spawning outside the map, invulnerable players, etc.

This is probably my favorite:

I'm playing Star Wars Battlefront since the day released. It's pretty good; graphics, sounds, and excellent gameplay. But I think maps are not enough for first release. There are another 16 maps playable with "Season Pass". I'm not sure that I buy Season Pass, but I want it (not sure :D ). Also, I really want to say that this game is very expensive for $59.

True, it is pricey but it oozes quality. I'll happily pay it for this level of immersion.

Your nephews will probably have fun. I doubt they ever played the originals. It just needs a few fixes and the game will be fun for me.

The game is at times just breathtaking.

Our definition of quality and immersion are vastly different apparently.
