literally just walked in after 2 days on the road... just gone over the numbers... I would like 500 for the board and the cpu/mem as they were all the most expensive models in each category and as a pc builder everything is still like brand new including the packaging. although I will still consider 400, its just under what I wanted...

and if anyones interested in the watercooled 290x... £200 for the card, £100 for the watercooling kit installed...

only in the uk you can get a water cooled 390x for 350 if you shop about. none voided warranty and everything.

I'm in England UK . tbh i may keep the board/cpu and memory for another build, and sell the whole thing on ebay for 1000+... see what happens... the water cooling kit is brand new... i used it for a month before i bought a titan x...

I'm saving for the upgrade now, so if i have the money i need, saved before i sell this hardware. i'll go the ebay route... or sell it to one of my old customers... thanks for the interest...

Indeed. It was cool chatting with you. For what its worth, you inspired me because I have an identical board along with a 4970k on its way from new egg as we speak. Still have to wait for another paycheck to get up to 32G of ram but I got what i need to hit the ground running. Any warnings, pointers or words of wisdom?

you've just bought yourself a solid motherboard. the new bios is good... I didn't bother buying the 4790k as it had no clock for clock performance improvement over 4770k, and the oc limit stayed the same at 4.7ghz...

make sure your using an ssd for your os.... its definatly the best maximus extreme so far... that's why I say I may just keep mine... its the c3 revision of the board btw...

you will need to spend some time working out your power management for sleep scenarios. lesser minds don't seem to set this up correctly...
