I'm still waiting for super cruise to not suck on Windows 10 with AMD GPUs. :shadedshu:

However, the CEO of FD posted on Reddit saying that the next driver AMD is going to release should have a fix. I'm hoping that claim came from information we don't have that was provided by AMD...

I bought it a couple months ago. I tried playing it a bit, but I couldn't get out of the hanger.. lol but I only played it for about 30 minutes. I bought it for my Oculus Rift and it looks amazing inside the ship. That's probably why I didn't get out of the hanger.. lol Plus, my flight stick was in storage. I can't wait to get CV1 and try it sometime in the first quarter of next year. :toast:

I hate the default key layout for Elite: Dangerous for the mouse and WASD area. I always have to switch Mouse X-axis from roll to yaw, I rebind Q and E to vertical strafing, then rebind A and D to roll if I'm remembering it correctly. I absolutely hate roll being on the mouse. I personally think it makes piloting a ship 10x more difficult than it needs to be.

Agreed, I prefer SC's default control scheme for Mouse + KB. But Elite does work well with Mouse + KB. Though my CH HOTAS is amazing in comparison...

I haven't had a chance to try out Horizon's official yet...I'm debating if a deal I found on an R9 290X flashed to a 390X is worth getting or not... my 770 is starting to struggle at 1080 with some newer games...though in all reality it's probably because they're not as optimized...still makes me sad that the day is nearing where the 'ol 770 2GB isn't enough for 1080p gaming.

Though this game isn't bad at all...but I did notice slowdowns in beta when nearing planets and their surfaces...

Not for Elite: Dangerous in Windows 10. 300-series require drivers that make super cruise suck in systems with a lot of ships. Although, rumor has it that AMD's next driver should have a fix. Hopefully it's true. :clap:

Hey guys, do any of you play on mac? If you do what GPUs do you have? Frontier says the GTX 650m is minimum required, but I've got an iMac with a 5750 1GB and it's the only machine my little brother can play on.

I play on a PC with an 8850m, and am able to run medium-high settings at 1080p. If you play at 720p, and medium you'll probably be fine I would imagine. Though Horizon's add a lot of load to the GPU, as I stated above...it works my GTX 770 in my main gaming rig. I still need to test Horizon's on the 8850m yet...

I don't really know what I'm doing any more. Part of me wants to grind for a Cutter, part of me wants to grab an Asp and a few SRVs and go to the core, and part of me wants to grind for a Corvette since I'm horrible at combat.

I tried a FDL and I've apparently lost a lot of my skill.

A thought. Maybe try forcing 3d clocks with Powerplay completely disabled in afterburner? It would fix the issue, at the expense of a lot of energy.

It's got the procedurally generated planets and yes there are billions, but you can't land on the vast majority yet.

Yes and mostly yes. I'm not clear on the Cobra MkIV, I think only those that own both can own that ship. Otherwise everything is in horizons that is in 1.5
