[WTB][US] LGA1156 Motherboard

Hello-
I am looking for an 1156 motherboard for a friend of mine, he has an i7 860 that works just fine, but his motherboard is slowly dying- 2 bad ram slots-

Anyone have one laying about collecting dust?!

I've actually got one that I might be parting with. Trouble is, it is currently sporting an i7-860 as well and I'm not sure how well them processors sell any more. :oops:

I was kind of hoping to sell it as a combo deal soon.

i7-860 right around $60-70

Sadly, on the 1156 set ups, the CPU cost has come down, but motherboard prices are on a rise. I recently sold a Gigabyte P55 board for about $175 that was complete with all the original accessories and box, but my i7 860 only sold for about $50. Listed it at $75, but no bits for over 2 months so I had dropped the price to $60 and had a offer for $50 so I sold.

The i5 750 sells better for some reason, I had a few of these as well, and they can sell for $60 no problem. Not sure why the market on these processors are this way.
I still have a Gigabyte H57 mATX board with a i5 750 running. I am using for a NAS server right now with a PCIe Raid card. But I know MB prices on 1156 are holding its value.

I might ask him mabey we will buy the combo deal? What kind of price are you looking to get?

The board have went WAY up, guess because the are scarce these days, but on fleebay they sell even used for way more than they were new!

i7 880's still go for a bit, I always wanted i7 875k , when MC 1st had them on sale almost drove there for one.

I did just get a Matx board in with a i5 660 in it, was going to sell as a combo after I test it a little.
