All I'm going to say on that, and their own forums bear it out, is that Uplay is as stable as Steam, but that the majority of people who have trouble with Uplay is because of trying to run their Uplay game through Steam.

Jboyd was nice enough to offer a game. No one should be turning up their nose because of the platform the game comes from or plays on. No one is being forced to enter, so no negative comments are required.

Maybe I am misjudging Uplay a bit more than I should. But I'd like to give other people the opportunity to win this one as a) I'm not especially excited for this game (not saying I won't enjoy it/don't want to play it), and b) I have too many games gathering dust as it is.

I don't turn my nose up at @jboydgolfer offering a game for free that has to be launched through Uplay - I agree, giving away a game for free is incredibly generous and gives a lot to this community of ours!
I suppose it's just the bad experiences I've had and heard of from Uplay. But like you said, for me and all the incidents I've read, it's been running it through Steam that has caused the problems.

So when I do finally get this game, I'll give Uplay a chance to shine with some distance from Steam

I've only ever hosted one giveaway, I wish I wasn't a student in overdraft right now so I could host a lot more =( I love the idea of spreading generosity and love throughout the community ^_^

I took no offense from any comment You or anyone else, made, I actually dont care for Uplay myself, Which is why if you look @ the OP, You'll see a face next to my comment stating the game activates through uplay...lol but its all good in my book. Keep your eyes open for MY next game giveaway, That will be a VERY popular game, and will likely be based on the Steam drm...take care, and thanks for the response.
