I highly doubt it, if they were that innovative they would create their own design rather then try to leech off the success of more established companies.

Which is something we have not even come close to reaching, people are wholly unimaginative, there are tons of different new designs they could try.
Hell those ergonomic mice come to mind:

There is nothing out there that tried to refine that to better working mouse so again, plenty of room for originality and innovation, even in mice.

these kind of things are made my a chinese oem factory.. a brand name orders them.. a brand name can ask for design alterations for their own particulate ones or not.. none of these things are actually made by the company name they carry.. they are all bought in from other chinese (far eastern) factories that act as suppliers..

basically a mouse is a mouse.. many of the parts are off the shelf parts.. made in one place and assembled in another and all often coming from the same place..
