Best upgrade from 7870 under 300$ CAD

Hi everyone!
Im looking to upgrade from my 7870 to play most games at 60fps on high settings. I use 1080p.

I tried to find a used 290, but did not have any chance. I found a deal on a new 380 for 260$, is it worth the upgrade? What else could be good?

There are plenty on ebay selling around that ballpark... and I don't suggest 380 for that price/perf

And what if he doesn't have any way to buy from eBay? Not everyone has a credit card or PayPal accounts. In Canada pp holds the money for 5-8 business days before it goes on the account. Quite annoying wait time if u ask me

If I can sell my 7870, then I could put more money in for a 970 or a 390 probably!

I can buy from ebay no problem! I can use paypal/CC. I will look on .ca and .com

I sell on ebay full time, its my job. The 5-8 day, sometimes upto 21 days, holding time is just to make sure that the seller ships the item out. And most of the time it will be quicker than that. On 3 of my paypal accounts, I dont have any kinds of holds on funds. But your mileage will vary.

To the OP, I usually find that auction prices can be a little cheaper most of the time. So I would follow some auctions around until they end so that you can get an estimate on the final selling price and see if it compares to some of the "but it now" prices. It will take you a few days but at least it will give you some kind of idea on a graphics card with your budget.

From a 7870... I'd go the R9 380X... though the R9 390 would be faster it's just over the $300 limit.

Yikes... is the difference in CAD vs USD really that much these days or are the prices that much higher because of government fees, taxes etc. in the US an R9 390 is around $330 USD where newegg canada has then for over $450 CAD. it use to be the exchange rate was like $1.05 CAD for Every Dollar what happened?

Tough for people like myself or the OP when purchasing Online. The exchange and duty etc.. just makes things too expensive. Works great for selling though.
