It's our tree based internet in Washington. Little known fact: All the trees in Washington act as internet relays, because we don't have jack shit for wired infrastructure. The recent windstorm knocked down too many tress, thus the lag.

It makes sense if you don't think about it.

LoL. That said, I couldn't help but G-bomb the subject and it's not unheard of...especially in Washington, and is actually kind of fascinating.

As for the lag in Bremerton, or apparently in Washington in general, I think Magnified Plaid lied to 12 year-old me all those years ago....It doesn't seem like a good like a good place to reside.

(Don't take it as an insult, the Great Plains ain't much better. We have a kick-ass ISP [only 49% owned by Comcast] but literally have nothing to do here but use it. Also, not a ton of trees. Trees are nice. I envy your trees.)

The beautiful thing is if you go up to a place like Chimicum they have gigabit fiber.

Wait what do you mean, "What the hell is Chimicum?" It's a township of a few thousand people and some cows to the West of Port Hadlock. "Why the hell should they have fiber and not a large city like Bremerton," you ask? Because they wanted a library with fast internet.

Also if you move across the sound you get better internet on average. Just sayin'.

worst latency I have had was on satalite and it was 1000ms so one second was fun to shoot at wall and hope an enemy ran into bullet.
