I really can't decide now between a 53" tv thats 4k or triple 27" monitors that run at 1080p, monitor is here, would be triple setup off the table using this stand. Also my TV choice would be a 50" D-Series Vizio 4k, found here, mounting it with this stand. Any opinions on this would be great.

A little backstory in which prompted me originally to buy one or the other. I currently have a 17.3" laptop (Gateway) and one night when I was surfing the web I got a little frustrated cause I was trying to run multiple windows on top of each other. So I took my 720p emerson and plugged it via HDMI and expanded my desktop. Now unless I am not at home I never use my laptop any other way. I will leave system specs for this system below.

Also any suggestions on that is welcome as well. As far as budget I suppose its about $2800 at top dollar. It will be used for gaming but again its like GTA V, Batman, Sims 3 & 4, and things like that. Also its going to be used to stream movies over my network to my tv's via plex and ps4. Thanks.

Since I dont like to play in a grid , my vote is for a single 4K or better 2K monitor

And see thats my problem, I'm like it would look epic, but those bezels. I'd be curious to check into 2k monitors, do you think a single graphics card could run like decent 2k monitor, and correct me if I'm wrong but its the same thing as a 1440p correct? I'm a little rusty. Haha (that's embarrassing)

As a 5 monitor user, I'd say if you want pretty pictures for the 4k. If you want productivity go for the triple 1080s.

I love 4k and honestly, nothing compares. But if your gonna run 4k games on a 50", I hope you have 980ti's in sli at the very least.

That s right , for 4K gaming GTX 980 ti SLI
Coming from consoles, Im playing 4k games between 40-55 FPS on a 28" and that suits me just fine, but you're gonna need a hell of a lot more power if you're going 53". I promise you that. And 4K can be used for productivity as well because you can fit so much on the screen, so I don't think thats an issue.

So for decent framerates it would be better for a triple sli? I don't have a problem with sli-ing but I just want to know what to expect. I also don't mind that Ben q monitor I listed above either what's your take on that since its 1440p on a 32"? That's the same size as my Emerson TV I am currently using in partner with my laptop. Still I'd like to be able to wall mount it like a TV. The other thing is I did a lot of research between 1440 vs 4k monitor vs 4k TV and I couldn't find anything too recent just basically when 4k has come out. I'm worried about the TV ghosting in games, however I haven't had any issues with my 720p Emerson tho either.

Personally, 4K is something else IMHO. I believe that It's worth having. Say, goodbye to all jagged lines or those little steps. Everything is soooo beautiful and crisp. Unfortunately, barely any programming available for it and needs hella power. I wouldn't know for a 53" , but I would guess at the very minimum 2 980ti's will be needed and 3 to be safe. I honestly think I have the best GPU on the market right now, have it overclocked slightly over 1500Mhz (still in testing) and 4k can still kick her ass. Do I think it's worth it, Yes, but you may think it's better to wait for it. Just understand the power needed. 4k has 4 times the pixel density and god damn I love it.

I get really excited so sorry if the above sounds condescending.

Not conceded at all. And @little cat I didn't see those benchmarks above, thank you for those. I am thinking that a SLI for a 32" 1440p monitor is sitting pretty good until they release a stronger graphics card that can do 4k in a sli setup. That being said my build just got alot more expensive. Hmmm. I might have to impervise on some things. If my I am correct basing my judgement off the benchmarks above if Cyrsis gets 1080p with the stated FPS in the article, across three monitors it would get about 24.56 fps with a single card...so either way it would need to be SLI.

First off awesome name with an awesome picture (I didn't get to say that last time), and whats the advantages to this? I don't plan on building this for probably after summer.

You do not need to sli if going 1440p (single monitor). You will need to Sli if going 53" 4k or multiple 1440p panels. What panel are you looking at (other then the ones you've listed)? What do you think of the X34? They have another 32"-34" curved panel for a couple hundred less as well. I nearly bought it but couldn't do it as wouldn't gel with my set up and don't want to get rid of 4k.

Screen size is totally irrelevant to performance. A GPU driving a 17" monitor at 1080p will have the exact FPS as a driving a 60" 1080p screen.

Not at 4k, screen real estate totally matters. But you know what, I just realized, if he gets a 4k TV he will use HDMI, which taps out at 30 FPS, so one would work.

You are sadly mistaken. Performance is dictated by resolution, not screen size. Two screens with the same resolution will perform identically despite a difference in "real estate."

I believe the one I would get supports HDMI 2.0 on the 4k port.

If I am wrong, then thank you for correcting me. I am looking for information now but cannot seem to find info on the subject. This is not something I just came up with but can not remember where I read it.

Well then that works. What TV are you looking at? And if MT Alex is right, and I am wrong, then one 980ti will work as long as you don't mind 40-55 FPS on most games.

Pascal is the next generation of Nvidia cards that's coming out. If you wait a bit longer then you can grab those which should be better for 4k than what is out now.
