DEEPCOOL is a company that's built with the vision of providing best thermal solutions for worldwide customers by constantly seeking for innovative breakthroughs. To meet the increasingly high demand from global market, DEEPCOOL launches a newly upgraded liquid cooler series, CAPTAIN EX, under its sub-brand: GAMER STORM.

Innovative and high performance cooler
CAPTAIN EX Series is an all-in-one water cooling solution for desktop PCs, which has 120 mm, 240 mm and 360 mm versions, all of them feature several innovative techniques, e.g., patented SS design (Separated Section), steam punk appearance, visible liquid flow and LED lightening. Moreover, new features like upgraded high-density water micro-channel, anti-explosion rubber, unique silent TF 120 double-blade fan, as well as tooling free installation solution will bring users new exciting cooling performance.

Highly efficient liquid cooling & outstanding durability
Thanks to the application of new patented technology, every drop of coolant within the optimized self-governed circulation channel will be fully used and take the heat away in a most efficient way. Meanwhile, with the adoption of anti-explosion rubber, which also features anti-corrosion, crush resistance and thermo stability, the safety and stability of the self-governed circulation channel will be greatly guaranteed.

Excellent performance/noise ratio & easy installation
By equipping unique silent TF 120 double-blade fan with anti-shock pad, CAPTAIN EX Series can not only offer a higher air pressure for radiator to take the heat away efficiently, but also maintain an extremely low noise environment as de-vibration rubber will absorb most operating noise. The advanced detachable blade design and built-in 3-proof functions (Dustproof, Waterproof, Oil-leakage proof) of TF120 fan will satisfy your DIY enthusiasm to build a unique rig. What's more, upgraded tooling free installation solution, combined with 100% solid metal material clip, makes a simplified installation but a firmer structure.

Available in April 2016

MSRP:
  • CAPTAIN 120 EX: 79.99 USD
  • CAPTAIN 240 EX: 109.99 USD
  • CAPTAIN 360 EX: 139.99 USD

Explosive rubber :D What kind of invention it is? Maybe they use some kind of acid as coolant? It looks like DeepCool marketing team overplayed with this PR :D

The only thing could be explosive is my head because of quantity of similarly designed liquid coolers...

That dumb looking tube thing looks like it was designed by someone with no idea how watercooling works.

Probably gets around Aseteks patents easily though

I've been using a Deepcool Maelstrom 240 on my FX8350 rig and it's doing a bang up job of it. No issue whatsoever since I'd installed it (to replace a dead CM Seidon.........that was more than a year back and it's been problem free. Unlike my first Corsair H100 that was installed in my main rig, that sucker leaked (I believe it was due to some faulty parts) I had it replace by the local Corsair distributor here and it's been sweet thus far. I was so impressed by the Deepcool Maelstrom that when I built an i7 4770K/Asrock Z87 Extreme6 rig, I'd gotten two well-priced but used GTX Titan so I built a rig based off them, I went and got the Maelstrom 240T (what's the difference between the 240T and 240? The heck if I know!:p ). It ran fine but unfortunately, my extreme6 has some USB port issues, so it's off to Taiwan for some servicing/repair.

I don't mind the look, but what do I know, I have no idea how water cooling works :D
The radiator does look a bit thin though, so wouldn't be as effective as some thicker ones.

I'll just get a Maelstrom 240T which costs 66€ here in Finland. That tube looks damn cool though.
