Why not offer a selection between the available Cherry Mx keys? I personally prefer the Brown Cherry MX keys over Reds and Blues.

More selection for unpopular/semi-popular keytypes increases manufacturer and stocking complexity, which decreases their bottom line. I'm sure it's a financial move.

Yup, unfortunately the more skus available the more chance of over stocking and losing money. I prefer cherry greens and spend a fortune on keyboards just to get them. I wish companies would use them more but the demand just isn't there =(

Cherry MX switches for SteelSeries? Now that seems new and unusual for them, seeing that their Apex models were with membrane.
