Ah my bad I misread that one, $60-80 for your used SSD. Those are sold prices on ebay mind you.

I'd say $80.00 myself if the SMART details and usage numbers are low. The rest of your estimates are in line with what I'd expect.

$250 for the mobo? Really? Crazy.

I don't know about that part enough to judge either way, but it's not out of line considering for some reason ebay goes batshit insane over rare/hard to get mobos. I sold a Sabertooth X58 there 2 years ago for nearly retail.

No it makes sense. Try finding an out of production board for a decent price. You pay thru the nose for them....

Edit: It's the reason I ended up retiring my 2600K for a 4790K, my board went flaky and buying a new board for it was as expensive as just starting over...

Interesting. Maybe I should start buying amazing mobos so I can get almost retail 3 years in the future. XD

It's not a stupid idea. Heck find me a decent price on a Z77 Sabertooth and I will bring my 2600K out of retirement ;)

that 2066K is tpretty interesting ... what you plan to do with it!
X79 its a pretty hot platform lad.. the listed prices are ridiculous,
for more information try to seek your used parts on ebay or craiglist... so you might get some reference prices...

Z77 might not be a good example, but the trend holds for most high-performance boards(x48, x58, x79 etc.). Hell, my Rampage II Gene can be sold locally for the exact same amount I paid 6 years ago at newegg for a new mobo (trending at $200+ on eBay, orig MSRP $249)!
I still regret that I sold my GA-X58A-UD3P two years ago... could've made a fortune right now, if paired it with X5675.
