SanDisk Corporation, a global leader in flash storage solutions, today introduced the 128GB* SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSDXC card, one of the first microSD cards to carry the Works with GoPro verification. The new, higher capacity SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSDXC card is verified to deliver optimal performance and reliability when used with GoPro cameras, even under extreme conditions.

"We are proud to be one of the first companies to unveil a new offering that carries the Works with GoPro logo, as well as one of the first to have access to Works with GoPro verification tools," said Brian Pridgeon, director of retail product marketing, SanDisk. "We strive to deliver a great user experience that includes performance, reliability and the peace of mind that data is safely stored. The early testing and verification through this program further confirms our customers get the best possible user experience with their SanDisk cards and GoPro cameras."

Works with GoPro is a verification program for products that work with GoPro cameras. Once verified, products have the option to feature a Works with GoPro logo so consumers can easily identify compatible products for their GoPro. Additionally, SanDisk is working with GoPro to ensure their products work optimally with GoPro's lineup. The SanDisk Extreme and SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSD cards in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB* capacities have been verified as Works with GoPro cards, and are recommended for the latest Hero GoPro cameras, the Hero4 Silver, the Hero4 Black, and the Hero Session.

"GoPro users are passionate about capturing their experiences in incredible detail and sharing these moments with others," said Adam Silver, GoPro director of strategic product partnerships. "We are excited to offer verified SanDisk microSD cards through our Works with GoPro program and are confident these cards will perform exceptionally well across the GoPro camera lineup, helping users capture memories on all their adventures."

The SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSD cards offer outstanding performance, enabling users to quickly capture amazing moments, whether it's skiing through fresh powder, scaling a mountain or simply enjoying a family vacation. Now with 128GB*, users will also be able to store a significant number of media files simultaneously, including an estimated 96 music albums, 960 photos, and 400 minutes of 4K UHD video1.

The SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSD cards can capture fast-action photos, shoot continuous burst mode, or record 4K UHD video2 with UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and UHS Video Speed Class 30 (V30) performance3. The quick read speed of up to 95MB/s** saves users time when transferring high-resolution images and 4K UHD videos2, making them ideal for action cameras, MIL cameras and Android-based smartphones and tablets.

No matter where the moment happens, the SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-I cards are designed for, and tested in, the harshest conditions to ensure the highest standards. All SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSD cards are shockproof, temperature-proof, waterproof, and X-ray-proof4.

Pricing and Availability
The new 128GB SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSDXC UHS-I card will be available worldwide at an MSRP of $249.99. The SanDisk Extreme PLUS microSD card is available now in capacities from 16GB to 64GB.

Is this one of those "Windows 10 compatible" certifications found on 3.5 jack PC speakers? One would think all the buzzword speed labels and card type itself was explanatory enough to know which one to buy for X device.

Just wondering what's with the write speeds. Advertised 95MB/s, while UHS-3 is only rated 30MB/s sequential video recording (hence V30 logo on the card)

This reminds me of "Music CD-R." (the ones made for public consumption advertising better audio quality...these MFers need sued)
Poor, poor, dildos bought them by the cake box at a premium.

This kind of stuff always makes me think of executives hanging out, drinking, smoking cigars and laughing maniacally about how they tricked all the morons of the world into spending more money.
