The new Aluminum Mini Docking Station is a compact hub that connects to a user's computer via USB and expands its functionality by offering four USB 3.0 ports, a gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI and DVI video connections, and a 3.5mm port for all connection needs.





The Aluminum Mini Docking Station allows users to use one centralized docking station to connect multiple peripherals and devices. Another misleading product with a hefty price tag....

4 USB3 ports + 4K video on a single USB 3.0 uplink? 4K@30Hz cannot be achieved with a single USB 3.0 @ 5Gbps let alone 60Hz. And I highly doubt a mere docking station like this will be able to perform some sort of fancy compression or subsampling to make 4K@60Hz possible.

You're incorrect. 4K @ 30 is definitely doable over USB 3.0. The data is compressed over the USB bus. You should do more research on DisplayLink technology which this dock is using.
