Stock 390x - 5,9.

CGN gen 4 will be better than gen2 for sure, so 390X will be defeated from RX480 stock if the TF figure is correct. Even by 5%, it will win. And with that price and the oc rumors suggested and the power consuption close to 100W, we are talking about a great GPU by all metrics imho.

Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.
Guys, this FSE leak, where does it put it in ranks?

PS
Nvm, found it, basically it's between 970 and 980, quite a bit below 1070

Firestrike ultra:
480 - 2708
1070 - 4078 (50% faster)

PPS
So, could be caused by slower CPU and yada yada, but here we go, earlier leak vs current leak:
5708 => 5492
2889 => 2708
The only
positive piece is about temps being low, send my LOLs to Mr Kyle @ ocp... :D

Correction, graphic score is actually higher:
5856 => 5708, better as in leak

can we all just wait 8 days for the NDA to lift come on enough guesswork its time for SCIENCE
the pictures tell me that that heatsink is way undersized and will get really hot as soon as you exceed the TDP
Great OC with reference cooler was never a good idea. So, reference will be good for 1.4-1.45 GHz since the power consumption will be very low up to there. For more oc wait for the custom models. We are talking mianly for the stock version and the basic priced one which for its price it will be a bargain. Extreme oc and enthusiasts don't buy reference models very often as the custom ones are most possible better binned also.

RX 480 = GTX 960(170$~250$) / GTX 1060(Unknown)

idk why every one is talking about GTX 1070/80

Also the guy said that 3D Mark Score is 2 Months old + old drivers.

We need stuff from competitors to compare it to. (and uh oh duh who was comparing OCed 480 to 1070? It sure was not only me)

So as far as 3DMark goes, 1070 is 50% 40% faster (or 480 is 33% 28% slower, depends on POV :D), while MSRP is 90% more for "normal" and 150% more for "fool's founder's edition". :D

In the end, we'd need to compared street prices. 1070 is currently 499€ in Germany (in stock for weeks already)

PS
Oh, graphic score is actually 5856, so, between 390x and 980:

The 1070/80 are mid tier cards, how much are they selling for? Don't forget AMD has other cards coming, not sure when as everyone says the end of the year. But it is shaping up to be a very interesting 6 months we have to go, people already jumping on the 70/80 as if they are life blood(not sure why) paying cray cray prices to be the firsts lolz!

I don't lean to either side, I love the fact we finally have a little competition to drive the sky high prices down. My last Nvidia card cost $750 each 2 generations old, so I guess I do Lean to the red side (for now)..........Mean while prices VVVVVV I lol when I see people posting score's of there awesome 1070/80 (as they try to stop the bleeding from selling an arm or leg) to post some AWESOME SCORES!!!

That card was another maker's custom pcb having a MSI's lighning cooler on it to cover the owner's trace from where he got it. So, it isn't proved to be fake. And most numbers are coorect as they are almost the same no matter the source. So, rumors are rumors but most around this time, just days before the NDA is over should be considered as previews now tbh...

Maybe it's time to pull your head from wherever it is and check the facts, instead of insulting opponents?
789€ is the price announced by nVidia and that's exactly the price I see in shops:
What i said was the facts. MSRP for eVGA gtx1080 super clocked is 650$, yet resellers on amazon been tring to sell it for 1200+ to even as high as 2000$. SO before you tell me to check the facts you should do that first.

edit: 863$ current is cheapest on amazom, highest of 3 resellers is 1460$. Don't get mad at resellers for gouging badly. I won't blame amd for same crap which i bet you won't so don't make it a double standard.

For starters, there are indeed facts in this thread, e.g.: "AMD announced RX 480 4Gb to start at 199$".
Cards sell between the 2 MSRP's nvidia stated, how every 3rd party price gougers been doing massive markups on them, AND as for AMD's MSRP don't expect to pay that as they will end having same thing happening to them.

I suppose that AIB cards won't be priced as the MSRP says.... and I think that even reference models will have a small markup as well (I guess the reference 4GB version will hit retail at 220 and the 8GB at 250) but that's not in AMD's control, MSRP stands for Manufacturer SUGGESTED Retail Price after all.

Maybe the less known names such as Visiontek and Diamond will honor the MSRP

I remember I grabbed my Sapphire FuryX off Amazon at exactly MSRP 649. It went out of stock 1 minute after I placed order. Later that afternoon it went up to 680. So I assume the same might happen. Sapphire might honor the MSRP for the base line 4GB version, at least for a little while.

Still debating whether to get this first or wait for then. One thing is sure: I WILL get Vega later this year.

Yes and this thread has "rumor" in its title, you don't have to watch this thread if you don't want too, obviously a lot of people are enjoying this thread as am I.

Performance seems within expected range. It was expected a RX 480 card to perform on level of existing R9 390X. Which means R9 490X will be a lot higher. Old Fury X is still on level of GTX 1070 so that's still quite good.

AMD had a huge jump in share prices recently.

Well no doubt about it. AMD has secured the console market all for itself... and if the (quite old) rumours are to be believed, it could get a hold of Nintendo's handheld market too.

off topic
A year or so ago there was a rumour that the 3DS successor would share the NX architecture and games would use dynamic scaling and enable functions and settings based on what hardware are you playing. Of course ever since then there has been no metion of that so take that with a sea worth of salt.

So far it seems the most urgent basher of RX480 are the 970 owners. Be it over here or from the source of leak in Chiphell. I figure it is a mentality issue. People need to justify their purchases.
