Logic Supply introduced the CL100 mini-PC based on the Celeron "Braswell" processor. This fan-less compact desktop is housed into a custom-design case made of aluminium, which doubles up as heatsink; and measures 116.75 mm x 36.7 mm x 112 mm. Under the hood, is an Intel Celeron N3150 quad-core processor running at up to 2.08 GHz, 2 GB of included DDR3L memory (two SO-DIMM slots, upgradable to 16 GB), and a 32 GB mSATA SSD (up to 512 GB can be ordered). Display connectivity includes two HDMI and one DisplayPort. Network connectivity includes a gigabit Ethernet connection, and an mPCIe slot so you could add your own WLAN card. Four USB 3.0 ports (one type-C, three type-A), make for the rest of it. The base-model goes for US $347.

I would kill for a passive, NUC like PC, that would handle H265@10bit and would have ~i3 performance.

Currently have Z3735F. While it was cheap and is very efficient (3-5W at the wall), it's also pretty slow and can't do HEVC at all.

But all of those tiny boxes are either atoms (that don't support hevc 10 bit) or i3s with fans.

Hi Hojnikb, Darek here from Logic Supply. You may want to look into our fanless ML100G-30, which offers Core i3/i5 options: http://www.logicsupply.com/ml100g-30.

Looks nice, but waaay over my budget for something like that + it uses broadwell, so no HW HEVC acceleration. But obviously im not the intended market for this kind of pcs :)

Looks like zbox c series would be a great fit (i3 6th gen and passive). Too bad there are no reviews of it.

Different markets altogether. They overlap to some extent but you pay for industrial use.

Same board though... that was all. I understand that there's a difference due to the housing.

But you said "I would kill for ", which implies you'd pay any price if it works for you ;)

Heh, yeah, the guy saying "I would kill for" and then saying it's out of his budget is kinda contradicting.

Fanless solution is always more expensive.

Well, if we're pedantic about it, this one doesn't fit my criteria.
