im on my way to get Infinite DLC's tonight, im almost done on Bioshock2, waiting for minerva's Den, have heard a lot of great critics of the Bioshock entire saga goood critics, but i gotta confess that the Bioshock 1 wasn't that great, i like so much more the #2, a dn waiting for number 3, but im afraid that my GTX 680 wont be enough for a great experience on it,

I think it's a cool little concept and all, just don't see the need for it since all the games are already available. It would make sense if some kind of cool content were added.

I saw some pictures and they've done some kind of remaster IIRC? Not sure if it's even worthwhile for a small bump in visuals to replay it again though.

Tired of seeing these HD/re-released games if im perfectly honest, this current generation is a laughing stock to those who want something new and creative.

I don't understand HD remasters of games that still look amazing even today. Bioshock 1 looks great. There is no need to "remaster" it.

Something else was for example Half-Life's total conversion Black Mesa. Half-Life looked a bit dated, but with HD remaster, it was all shiny again, it looked modern. System Shock remaster is also reasonable thing. Or for example remaster of games like original Doom, Quake or Hexen. Remasters of those in latest Doom 4 engine would be kinda cool.

I don't quite understand the eligibility for free PC upgrades. I own both Bioshocks 1 and 2 in retail form and Infinite on Steam. Am I eligible for free updates or do I need Minerva's den? How do you even get that for a retail version?

its pretty stupid to avoid great games for not HD graphics, its like FarCry 1, Half-life1 or Bioshock 1, despite Bioshock 1 has great graphics compared to other 2, "New Generations" are mostly noobs with great hardware that also know minimal things about hardware, so old games like this ones are great, the saga its wonderful,

agreed, but could you imagine a cinematic mod on this game? experience will be smother!

dunno if you played also Blue Shift and Op forces for HL, i would love a remastered copy of them ! but you are pretty much on the point,

DLC's are always something you have to purchase, you should take advantage of summer sale on steam !
also add your retail copy on steam

Totally forgot I can link them to steam and grab the DLC. And play that as well since I don't think I have. Hm.

EDIT:
Great, Bioshock retail keys can't be activated on Steam. Well fuck that for buying a game on release and now not being eligible for the HD upgrade just because it's not from Steam. Ugh.

EDIT2:
Ok, Bioshock 2 can be activated and I also got Minerva's den activated with it. Hm.

+1 for you sir. Bioshock 1 and HL1 are two of the best games ever made imo.

I guess I'll buy Bioshock 1 for 4€ on Steam and give away a retail copy to my cousin. I think he'll like the game and it'll run great on his mid end gaming laptop.

I guess we'll be playing Bioshock again this fall :)

I had the same trouble last year. Was not a nice surprise and had to buy it on Steam. Oh well, it gave me a chance to have another playthrough! :D

Bought it this morning with all the funds saved from selling Steam Summer Picnic cards
I already own 1 and 3, so the second one was factored-in for only $1.62. Best game series ever.

I wasn't saying to avoid old good games im just not liking this generation of games for consoles as most of the library just seems like loads of old titles being re-released.

*BioShock Infinite is not being remastered on PC because it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings.
again .....Already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings.

**BioShock: The Collection will not include BioShock 2 multiplayer.

WTF... there is never enough on gaming performance... :banghead:

I'm wondering if current Bioshock owners will get a remastered upgrade...
I played about 3-4 minutes of BS2, following with a nasty crash. Then again... :banghead::banghead:
My brother had the same problem since release in 2010, which reminds me of mischievous WB Games for some reason... :pimp:

Take a happy gander: http://steamcommunity.com/games/7670/announcements/detail/599358989869729600

from link above said:
And if you already own BioShock, BioShock 2, and/or Minerva’s Den on Steam, you will be able to upgrade to the remastered version of the respective title(s) for free after release. It’s a circus of values!
