Lower Bandwidth and Tighter timings or Higher bandwidth and Looser Timings AMD FX8350

Unless the loop is cold a low leak chip will beat a high leak chip

I've a custom loop with 2x360 push pull rads is that cold enough or do you mean Ln2 cold, but anyway I digress my 8350 was very leaky and a day 1 purchase, I'd expect process improvement to allow me a bit more than my 8350 but if not no biggie ,finding outs half the fun anyway.
I super sealed it anyway I'm selling the 8350 for 100 and buying the 9370 for 155 so an inexpensive side grade experiment is say and you never know I might get some bonus Hz somewhere, Nb ,Ht.

Save the cash. Get yourself a nice SSD or save up for Zen/Kaby lake ..

As far as timings go, my findings are 2133 CL9 or if your sticks can do it, 1866 CL7 or 8.

Save 55 quid, I fold mate it'll get its usage and I'm hoping my Zen build is portable,I've got 3 sdds in and one in a draw tweaking shit really is all the fun mate.

so 2133 at C9 which it is able to do anyway would be better than 2400 at C10?

FYI I just dropped the speed to 1600 with latencies at 7-8-8-24 at 1.5V, Im pretty sure they will run at 1866 with 8-9-9-24 Timings too.

So my Ram can run at 2400 with 10-12-12-31 (or 28), 2133 with 9,11,11,31,42, same with 1866 and 1600 with their latencies, pretty good kit. Perhaps i need more volts to run at 2133 with tighter timings than 9,11,11,31,42.

edit just lowered the 31 timing to 28 on the 2133 Profile, no issues

learned that the rig BSODs when the CPU/NB is set to 2600MHz with a PFN Corrupt BSOD 0x0000004E code after boot. 2400 its ok.

So do yall think perhaps ramping the voltage a little over 1.65 might help with the tighter timings than what I already know what the kit can run with factory timings from gskill?

Yeah it could work out imho 1.65 helped me run crazy timings but watch your cpus Nb temps

So in my system higher bandwidth looser timings is much faster. None can answer for you, as you have to test yourself.

If you are a gamer, MMO especially, you would want the higher bandwidth. Pushing the limits is a fun game for us and maximizing timings is good for bragging rights, but not all app, games, programs, etc. like it that way. Finding that happy medium is just as fun.

1.65 is whats needed for 2400 with its timing setup i mentioned earlier.

10% over 1.5v gives me 1.65v ,it wassafe on Calisto and Thuban ,had ram spec tension of 1.5; not sure if bd and latter iterations of that architecture scale as well with higher nb multi with the added tension so as to maintain stability, but bewere of thermals as those can seem innapropriate evven at stck spped after raising nb multi and mv's

with the Ram at 2400 Gskill Timings it needs 1.65VDimm
