. It's also forcing me to roam around my town to find anything, which is explicitly what I play games in order to avoid doing.

So, on my lunch break in my car I found a gym and there was a CP100 Venonat guarding it. I couldn't even get a hit on it with various higher levels. I don't think I understand how this works. Funny part was once I started attacking, pasty skinned teenagers started roaming out of their apartment complex wondering what the hell was going on. I made sure squeel my tires when I left so they know who it was lol.

This is so stupid. It blows my mind that kids are running around their town looking for these characters and such. I mean sure gaming is for all ages and at least adults can hopefully take care of themselves but this just takes it to a whole new level and not in a good way as far as I see it.
There is no way I would allow my kids to play this.

In my town you're more likely to get banged and robbed by the 10 year olds. Now they're all over the streets it terrifies me. Gotta take a rape whistle when I go shopping in case a toddler didn't catch his pikachu for the day.

I hear ya. Yesterday I tried a gym for the first time and learned to turn the AR off because by the time I found the action on the screen I already lost 3/4th of my life. I've gotten very irritated with this game more because it promotes going out and being active to find them. I walk/run 5 miles every day and I seem to find more sitting on my butt.

Well it is nice working in a downtown area, alot of pokestops.... my daughter is loving it we just walked around neighborhood and she got 5 in the 10 minutes we were gone. I think this will be a keeper for a while. especially for walking around town.

Are they going to include Pokemon from the newer generations in future updates? I'd really like to see Pokemon from Gen. 3&4 in the game.

they are going to roll out more stuff in the future, but the gen 1 151 is keeping everyone busy atm.

At home (I live in rural area) this game sucks hard, only pidgeys, rattatas and weedles and no stops/gyms. At work there is a lot to do...sadly I only have 30 min break :-(

I think drop rates and gyms/stops are tied to landmark locations/density. Where I live there isn't a stop or gym for 2 miles - in contrast the centre of town has oodles of random stuff and buildings.

Gyms I can understand, but not drops. If anything, you should get more interesting drops the further out in the sticks you are.

EDIT: Come to think of it, they should do a hardcore version. Make some pokemen area specific, and some of those areas should be blastedly hard to reach. I was initially thinking about Mount Everest or something, but that might be a bit too much, but you could definitely put one on on Ben Nevis and Kebnekaise as both of them are not hard as such to reach, they just require an effort. Or a helicopter lift, which is cheating.

I live in the middle of town, there should be heaps around here, it was even on the news here last night showing people walking around.

according to the developers of the AR phone game, they're making their move by adding support to most of Asia, but countries are not being disclosed yet. This news has gotten plenty of Pokemon fans on my end pretty excited.

yes with someone else driving it is a very entertaining game but you have to be quick with fingers/reaction to get some stops and poke`s

Two guys from my work walked out of the building earlier. We figured they went to break early and then found out they had walked across the street to another company building to wage war at a gym. So stupid. I gave them a hard time about it and boy did they get all mad and defensive. LOL

Think i'll stick with Dragonball Dokkan Battle instead adding another mobile game to my list,i would much prefer waiting for Sun and moon to play Pokemon,a lot of my older friends are driving around town trying find pokemon to catch its crazy lol.

There was quite a big piece in the news this morning around child protection and this game, it would appear already that kids are being lured to places by shall we say "unsavoury adults", there is already apparently a petition to ban the game in the UK.
