Hey team! As you can see in the description i have purchased a http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/dk-02/. I'm wanting to put a single water cooling system to cool both set ups.

My kit atm is:
System 1:
Mobo: Asus Rampage IV black Edtition
CPU: i7 4930k
Ram: Kingston 2x 32gb kits
PSU: Corsair MX1000i
GPU:780ti

System 2:
Yet to be built

This set currently has the 780ti which im wanting to move to system 2 once i can finish saving for the gtx 1080 or similar gpu to run my 3x uhd monitors a little more smooth. Red and black is the theme im wanting to stick to.

Does anyone have any ideas about the loops i should be running to and fro with a bigger set up? i have space but iv only dealt with single component loops.

I also like the look of the square straight looking tube work with 90 and 45 degree bends.

System 2 will be used for the Mrs to game on and to set up the movie hub on. So whatever it is will be complete overkill but that's the other theme of this build :D

Thanks for any help guys and i will be uploading photos and ideas shortly

maybe you could draw something, like the basic layout for the cooling
you consider hard tubing?

So in the picture you can see i have 2 completly over sized reservoirs there. Basicly their only point is to hide the cables as the desk has no cable management other than acouple 3m sticky hooks.

After reading a few fourms i dont think its an issue having 2 systems one after another as the temp should be the same all over the circuit. Especially with 2x 240 60mm deep radiators and 2x D5 pumps.

Bump?

Iv had enough of not being able to.game so i have ordered a whole heap of kit from EK and a complete second pc. Time to make it all work but does anyone have any advice on the run? Never done anything like this before. :D

Thanks guys!!

Heres is the list of what iv bought then what iv got. Thanks for any help!! :)

Sorry, Nossy, not a big Water-cooler here. But, I know that several of the guys dabble, to fullblown mod. Let me see if I can spot some of the more active guys, and tag them.

@silentbogo , @dorsetknob , @Recon-UK , any of you have any input for our intrepid modder here? :)

I've never even used an AIO... only played around with SS, when I had money to kill some old hardware... :nutkick:

Let's call a powerful system - S1, and a smaller one - S2.
In your current layout water passes through S1 and goes directly to S2. Assuming that both systems may be turned on at the same time - it may cause drastic overheating of S2.

Here's what I propose (sorry for this very crude drawing made in MS Paint):
Untitled1.png

Alternatively you can put S2 before S1 in the loop and hope for the best, or make two separate loops (which will kind of kill the purpose of your project).

What about a design like that? @silentbogo Pump is constantly cooling through the two rads and through the 2 res and each circuit has its own pumps. Seems like a winner to me. The only issue i feel this could have is the water picking different ways to flow.

Congrats on you buying this dk2. It looks like this will be an heavy build with lots of work ahead. The good thing is it's summer time and hopefully you have lot of time to think everything in possible details.

Hey @blobster21 thanks! Its a project i was hoping to get up and running before this coming weekend. Iv just finished prepping all 8 dammed ram sticks for water cooling. -_- what a mission. Gpu block done and cpus done. Everything but the 2 400 res and the pumps mounted. Then tubes :) winter here atm (New Zealand) so shes pretty chilly.
