What the title says.

Never really happened before, now it seems to be happening more often. It's usually when I have the computer off and I start to use it for the day, I'll play a game and it will give me a blue screen and the error.

PC in case you cant see my info:

i7 4770k
Gskill ddr3 1600 16gb
650 psu corsair
r9 390 xxx dd
Samsung 120gb ssd
seagate 3tb HDD barracuda

Not sure if there is anything else you need but let me know

Things I have tried so far:

I have used DDU on both the R9 and the intel graphics

I only really saw that the graphics driver was to blame, but other than that I am deleting programs to see if that helps

The worse part about all of this is that I cant test it because my PC is perfectly fine after it restarts.

Test your Ram one stick at a time using Memtest.

What dis guy said...:

Test your Ram one stick at a time using Memtest.

On a restart, board trains memory differently than on cold boot. It's one of the few things that can change between cold boot/warm boot and affect stability is a large way, so it'd be the first place I'd look.

Also, yeah, check drivers too, but likely...

I will check RAM!

Test your Ram one stick at a time using Memtest.

I will test ram!

Little update: After uninstalling some programs I am still blue screening. Will be trying Memtest!

EDIT: Also, how long am I suppose to run this?

normally test 5 is the hardest so for a quicky just do 2x nr.5.
if that gives you no errors then proceed to 1x complete run.

On a restart, board trains memory differently than on cold boot
and i am interested to know if cadaveca meant to disable memory training??

this is what i am doing after my ram is set

Tested the memory, everything is good and all passed! I saw that I can change the hardware acceleration but I have no clue where that is in Windows 10. Still blue screens.

Edit: I may have fixed it. It seems that the intel graphics was the one screwing up. I did a boot after leaving it off over night. last night I reinstalled drivers for both my gpu and cpu things seem to be running a lot smoother with no sign of any blue screening while playing a game.

Edit 2: It blue screened.

Bumping with an update, So I let windows install graphics drivers for both amd and intel. I came home and did a boot and no blue screen yet everything has been running awesomely. Only problem is that the R9 is running on 15.11. I am afraid to update.

Turn on system restore. Make a restore point. Update and if it stops working again, roll back.

You may also consider disabling the integrated graphics in device manager or bios and using DDU to fully remove all video drivers.

I actually did this multiple times!

by that I mean using DDU, I did a system restore and updated my card. So far so good

Question and thoughts:

I keep updating this because I keep running into problems. I think I MAY have figured it out but I am not sure. So what I did was made bios settings all default. And no BSOD. In the bios there's XMP which I turned on to profile 1. This is what I had on before which I am assuming is causing a bunch of my THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER prblems, but I wanted ddr3 1600 not 1333. So I adjusted the timings in bios manually and left XMP disabled. CPUZ shows 799.9 MHz for frequency.

Question 1: Could XMP be the cause of the THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER problem? I know I was reading that is was GPU related but after doing tests I wanted to know.

Question 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231568 This IS 1600 right?
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1600c9d-16gxm

I updated the drivers and so far everything is running OK, I think and I hope to god! Before when I had XMP enabled and set to profile 1 I updated my drivers on the GPU and it gave me a red screen instead of a BSOD, but it acted as if it were BSOD.

So much frustration and worry right now.

Yes the Ram you linked is 1600MHz, check your Motherboards compatibility list to make sure it is suitable, not all boards take 8Gb sticks, although G.Skill is generally alright.
It looks like you currently have 1333MHz Ram, and XMP overclocked that to the 1600 profile, that may have caused issues.

I check and it does, it recently gave me a red screen ( about 5 minutes ago) I am at a loss now.

Maybe my ram is faulty if, its reading as 1333? I dont know Im lost

update: to save me the headache I decided to go another ram kit I had. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220687

I figured if I ever plan to upgrade it will be to ddr4 and not ddr3. I also hear the 16gb is enough but I use apps like Maya for rendering etc. So thanks a bunch for the help from everyone but I feel I shouldn't have to use XMP to get the ram to run at the speeds they advertised. It's probably just me and my lack of knowledge with computers now a days and that's fine but this isn't what I wanted in purchasing ram at ALL.

Thanks a bunch guys!!! HUGE help as always!
