im currently using a radeon hd 2400 xt (im getting a new one in the mail in a few days). when i open up msi afterburner, i can overclock it but when i open up gpuz to check if the changes register, it only changes the default clocks. why does this happen? what is the difference between gpu clock and default clock? what is default clock?

thanks, just had to update driver for my gpu and now it overclocks. but now i have another weird prob. i have it oc from 650 and 500 to 665 and 515 to test but the clocks stay at 662 and 513. why dont they reach the clock that i put them to? it also did this for its default clocks as well.

it show the clocks that i put it to in furmark but it show like this in the monitoring tab for afterburner

Quit using furmark; it's known to kill cards.

Use Heaven for a test.

That's probably just what the clock gen can hit.

Why even bother? just leave it until your new card arrives, it's not like it can handle anything remotely modern :p

ik, its probably the worst card you could buy but i can play waw on 720x480 for campaign and multi so its not too horrible when its overclocked lol. the new card im getting is a radeon hd 6350. i wouldve gone bigger but i dont have the money or psu for it. also need a new motherboard because it has outdated psu plugs and i dont feel like using adapters.
