NVIDIA TITAN X Pascal Available from Today

NVIDIA's flagship graphics card targeted at gamers and PC enthusiasts, the TITAN X Pascal, will be available from today, exclusively through the GeForce website, at this page. NVIDIA will be directly marketing the card. The card is priced at US $1,199 (excl taxes). Based on the 16 nm "GP102," derived from the "Pascal" architecture, the TITAN X Pascal features 3,584 CUDA cores, 224 TMUs, 96 ROPs, and a 384-bit wide GDDR5X memory, holding 12 GB of memory. The chip is clocked at 1417 MHz core, with 1531 MHz GPU Boost, and 10 Gbps memory, working out to 480 GB/s memory bandwidth. Like the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070, the TITAN X Pascal appears to be limited to 2-way SLI.

No reviews for the Titan X. Why is Nvidia not sampling this card to reviewers. How do they expect a consumer to buy a card without seeing reviews ? Nvidia's dominance of the GPU market is letting them get away with such rubbish.

They dropped GeForce from the name, I think they want to reposition Titans as something other than gaming cards. Not sure what, nor do I care, but that could explain the absence of reviews from your usual sources. Anandtech may write something interesting about this at some point, but everybody else will just tell you it's x% faster than a 1080...

It's castrated gp102 gpu(3584/3840 cuda cores and 417mm² die), GTX 1080 uses smaller gp104 gpu(Full chip with 2560 cuda cores and 314mm² die). And it has lower clocks that gtx 1080.

No reviews indeed. They're going by reputation alone... and that lack of competition. Bet that overpriced thing sells like hotcakes. :rolleyes:

I don't like castrated GPUs either and try to avoid them wherever possible. This usually means buying the top card, but it's not affordable any more.

I remember how I felt buying the GTX 580 in its day. Awesome performance that blasted through everything for "just" £400 and nothing removed from the GPU. Felt great.

Not really audible with just a single card. I only had to set my fans at 85% whenever I wanted to OC on the stock cooler. The SC sticks to 1392 around 70% which isn't bad.

Who? NVidia? They don't determine jack. Don't worry, 1080's and 1070's prices will go down as soon as AMD releases their vega cards. This always happens in all markets when there is no competition and a lot of demand.

You say past generations, but you forget 8800 Ultra. Even 8800 GTX was expensive.

It's $1338 if you're in California (taxes + s/h). I think the take rate will be a lot lower than the $999 price point, but I could be wrong.
