Hi guys,

I'm having a real hard time figuring out what happened to my pc, suddenly it didn't want to start anymore (it had some weird behaviors a few times in the last month but nothing that could make me think it may be some hardware failure).
The symptom is no beep, no power to keyboard/mouse and no video output, even the chassis hdd led won't light up anymore.
What i tried so far:
- remove Video card and try to use the integrated graphics, no luck
- tried with different PSU, no luck, also my PSU is working fine on another system
- Remove RAM, try out with only one DIM, try out in diferent slots , no luck
- tried to erase RTC ram, remove battery and erase RTC ram, also no luck
I'm running out of ideas on what i should try, currently my hunch is that the Main board may be a goner, either that or it's the CPU (less likely).
Any ideas on what i could still try out?
(The system i'm using is the one from my Personal details, system specs).

Thanks in advance,

B.

Sounds like its dead. You tried just about everything I can think of.

Can you RMA the motherboard?

If the PSU is working in another system, this boils down to connections or the MB.
That 750 G1 had 5 rails, so its possible one rail is bad, so you can try using different plug sockets.

Take out the MB and look for burn marks and blown caps, etc. Even look over the back of the board. Check the ATX cable and socket for nothing loose or damaged. Check ATX pin solder joints too.

With just the PSU and MB with only the CPU to start, there should be red lights flashing, Then with just the CPU (the4/8 one) and ATX cables connected, grab and wiggle both cables see if any movement interrupts power.

@FR@NK yes i still have the warranty for that motherboard so basically i could return it.

@DeathtoGnomes, well there aren't any red lights flashing :) in fact there is only the Power LED that is Yellow and another one also Yellow, tomorrow i will take down the motherboard and check for any burn marks, i tried "sniffing" it but doesn't seem to smell like something burnt.

there should be a CPU socket lite and memory lite, if it fails boot up testing it will stay light(example CPU lite stays on). Also there a switch for the TPU, is it over clocked or have you tried it on normal?

@jaggerwild the Tpu switch is on normal, didn't temper with it, neither did i temper with any of the other ones ...
These are the only 2 LEDs that are ON:

Those look very much like green to me, not yellow.

Move unit to different power outlet, you might need to remove all necessary parts and put them on a non conductive surface and box to elevate the motherboard so the gpu can sit on it properly. Ensure monitor, mouse and keyboard are hooked up.

Parts needed for boot issues- psu, mobo-ram,cpu(all installed of course), gpu, mouse and keyboard, monitor. Insert that gpu squared in the pcie slot fully.

Yeah I would just plug in the power\display\mouse-keyboard then go from there. Also change the power outlet

Why isn't the GPU in the first slot closest to the CPU? What are your settings in the bios for the video output?

Doesnt matter where the GPU is, i tried to boot up even with integrated graphics without any success , even the peripherals aren't powering up when i connect them, if there were any GPU problems the RED led for VGA should have popped up, but it doesn't so is the one for the RAM, i even mentioned i used also a different PSU and this has brought nothing..also regarding setting there shouldn't be any settings anymore hence i did a clear CMOS...

is the keyboard USB or PS2?

Take small steps here, start with the MB (CPU+heatsink and Mem) and PSU, monitor plugged into correct slot. Power up, check lights. So:

1)Does the monitor displaanything?
1a) No? Unplug the monitor from the motherboard. Does it display "No Signal" on the screen?
- - a) try a different monitor
1b) No? you can narrow your troubleshooting to CPU, memory, or PSU.
1b) Yes? Goto 2

2) Power down, add keyboard, reboot. Can you get into the BIOS?
2a) No? shit is not working again. > Try a different keyboard.

Next would be a HDD. You get the picture here I hope.

Take psu, motherboard, gpu, out of case, place on non conductive surface with box or book to elevate motherboard so gpu sits in slot properly, insert that gpu fully and square, hook up monitor, ensure monitor is turned on and on correct input.

If it doesnt do anything hook up a different monitor, if no boot still, take your gpu to a different computer- if it doesnt illuminate its time for a new gpu. If it does try in your unit 1 more time, still no boot replace the motherboard.

The board has built in graphics, he doesnt need to install the graphics card to test the motherboard.

remove all cards from pcie slots.
unplug all the sata connectors.
so you just have the board/proc/ram hooked up to power. and the hdmi cable to the monitor.

unplug the jumper block that connects to the case we dont want the power button/reset buttons connected. speaker and lights are fine to leave connected if you want.

down under the 3rd pcie16 slot is a power button.
if you push that and it doesnt post
