Windows7 taker too long to load on Setup

I'm reinstalling Windows on the eMachines MCP73VT-PM Motherboard that came with it. I have Windows7 in a 3.0 USB Transcend Adapter. Should I transfer to a 2.0 USB PNY Stick? Or does it matter? Just so you know I installed a USB 3.0 4-port PCI-mini X4 type card

You can try, since that motherboard without the additional card does not support USB 3.0. It means if you formatted HDD, MOBO might need drivers to be able to use your USB 3.0 card, which would not be possible prior to the OS instalation.

I'm doing that now but the funny thing is I even inserted my CD and OMG did it take forever. I tested on my rig and it went normal

Use the usb 3.0 flash stick in the native usb 2.0 port near the ps2 mouse/keyboard or the usb ones, near the top of the mobo.

In theory all USB versions are forwards and backwards compatible. That means you should not need to install any USB 3.0 drivers if your motherboard only supports USB 2.0. Of course, theory and real-world don't always jibe and that is especially true with USB device - which don't always work as expected anyway. I say, try 3.0 and see what happens. If it does not work, go with 2.0.

Lol yeah but even I took out one ram stick and it still won't load fast like my main pc does. Right now I've tried USB to CD and nothing wants to load.

Just Right Now the setup loads (still took sometime) but doesn't proceed from there

Not sure what you mean here. You say "it" won't load fast, what is "it"? Are you saying when you connect this USB device to your main PC, "it" loads fast there?

No I was talking about when I connect it to my pc it loads normal but the eMachines it load extermly slow to the setup screen with the mouse arrow and that's it nothing else

Well, then it appears to be a eMachine thing. Perhaps you copy the file to your PC, open up network sharing and install it to the eMachine over your network.

No I'm not and yes on the back and... This is strange the front USB ports work now just out of the blue. I mean they work normally and not slow

You replied to the above as I was typing the below.

Also installing Win7 over USB 2.0 takes about 10-15 minutes in my experience. Win 7 doesn't play nice with USB 3.0 if its not set for xHCI comparability. Many 3.0 controllers I've seen add-in or onboard are defaulted to eHCI which Windows 7 won't load properly to install.

Not sure if that's helpful for you or not. That said depending on boot method and format...you should have 0 issues booting that 3.0 drive on a 2.0 slot. NTFS for Win7 though FAT32 or exFAT will work.

If your losing ports intermittently though...something else is wrong obviously...and could be a sign of things to come...
