i tried 2 different bios and there are unlock options. It didnt detect cores 3 and 4.

I think it cost me £ 6.00 so finding 2 more cores would have been a double bonus.

Managed to unlocked core 6 core 5 was bad with both flipped on instant bluescreen before Windows hardly got far booting.

Did 3.7 GHz @ default Vcore of 1.3 on all 5 cores but required 1.43 to reach 4 GHz on all 5 cores, temperatures weren't outrageous for me however. On chip North bridge overclocked to 2.8 GHz easily.

4.4 GHz on my 4690K. The only situation i've encountered a CPU bottleneck in a game I played was Witcher 3 in the middle of the Novigrad square.

Board doesn't unlock the chip, the cores are there there is no core the Phenom II's can be other than Deneb or Thuban and its not a 6 core...

3770K 4.7Ghz 24/7, 5Ghz is the highest I have tested(was stable but I had an aio cooler then)

other people had the same problem as me. Hybrid bios leads to blackscreen and ACC detects 2 cores

They never made a callisto core. It's a deneb with two cores shut off. If it won't unlock it's an issue with that specific bios. I had an athlon x3 that wouldn't unlock the 4th core on the 780g board I was using but would on the 760g. Both could however unlock the cache.

I've settled for 4.6Ghz (and a bit) @ 1.21vcore for my 5960X setup.. Most of my other rigs do sit between 4.4Ghz and 4.8Ghz, but there's an odd couple that are just in the 2.2Ghz to 2.5Ghz range as well

Mine moves a little with the seasons. Summer time like now I'm running 4.3Ghz on air.

When it cools a little the water cooler will come back out and I'll go up to 4.8Ghz. The only reason I don't use water in summer is my setup uses a secondary case for the radiator, pumps, res ect. Where that case sits suffers from poor airflow and in summer it just circulates hot air under my desk cooking me! It's not so bad in winter.

4.2 for when it's needed, 24/7 I use it at it's 3,7 stock, but at a lower voltage, 1,35v instead of the stock 1,425v.
@CAPSLOCKSTUCK I'm with cdawall here, that's a Deneb with a bios that is not even trying to unlock it, there are no dual core parts with 6MB of L3. Since the FX and APUs AMD stopped inventing names for the cut-down products.
I had a 550BE, never booted with any of the cores unlocked...

1.457v will get you to 4-4.2ghz easy. VDDC voltage that is.

I feel bad for you that id won't unlock, my x2 555 BE unlocked all extra cores and will hit 4.16ghz.
