Today I downloaded and installed GTA 5 from steam onto my pc, and installed the Redux mod, but when I try to use GTA Online I get to the Character Creation and hit Enter to Edit and the game just crashes o_O

Is this the Redux mod that doesn't work online or just a shitty glitch/bug?

Bcs tbh I don't want to redownload this game it's like **** 65gb or so even on like 120mbit download stream it takes time from steam's server to download it.

Running it on my system in my specs if u want to know, and I installed DirectX, Visual C++ and all that extra that comes with GTA5 that I downloaded.

I did a steam verify and it didn't change any files so I would be good I think :laugh:

I was under the impression that the Redux mod was for use in single player only and i would never try using mods online in gta5 due to how funny rockstar can be about it.

well I also opened ports for GTA Online in my router, still didn't work.

Just try it without the mod and GTA online should work fine.
Use only mods/trainers in story mode.

I only had the Redux mod on a fresh install nuth else, single player worked fine

You are lucky it crashed! Don't go online with mods in your folder. Make a separate install if you want to play online. It is next to impossible to negotiate with R* on bans so don't get on their bad side!

This. If they detect pretty much anything not "stock" you will get banned online. Be it an SP mod or not remove all traces of it before attempting to go online.
